No. The first one made me think that Todd Phillips had seen some old Scorsese movies and thought to himself “Gee, what if I just did that but took out all the parts where I actually say anything?”

It can be. The problem is none of them work at the AV Club anymore.

“Less snark” is absolutely a resolution that needs to be enforced for the AVC in 2024.

Am I alone in feeling like it’s kinda weird that it’s become standard to release the autopsy results of famous people? Why is that anyone’s business besides the family and (maybe) the authorities?  I don't know that there's really an argument that this sort of info lands anywhere close to being public interest.

That’s one of my top “This comic series will never get adapted” wants. Right behind Morrison’s We3.

Why is the pop culture site posting lots of articles about a major director who has just released a new movie?

There’s more good music to listen to than ever these days and music from all over the world is a lot easier to listen to than it used to be.

“But Marvel is obviously the Goliath in this situation, and Scorsese is David

I mean, would it, though? That’s still 2002, and he’s consistently been neck-and-neck with Batman for the bestselling comic book character since his debut in the ‘60's. He’s a superhero with spider powers; I get that it’s slightly more defensible to want an origin story for the first one, but I don’t think you’re

I mean, if someone wrote a play about how I was an asshole, and then they were like “bUt It’S fIcTiOnAl” I would be super irritated. People who watch this play aren’t going to walk away saying “that was funny, but of course it’s not a documentary and I shouldn’t let any of this content color my opinion of Richard
