I can’t wait to see Party Down return, and Hello Tomorrow intrigues, but none of the rest sound like my cup of tea. To be honest I’m struggling with tv in general these days, there are still shows I’ve loved (Better Call Saul, Mythic Quest) but the golden age of tv seems to be running on fumes a little, in 2017 and

I think what Hanks needs to do to overcome typecasting / audiences predicting how the film will end, is to play a good old fashioned maniac. I’d love to see him in a dark psychological thriller, of even a slasher film - The Terrifier 3: Meet Daddy would be something I’d definitely watch if Hanks was slicing people to

In the UK we’ve a channel that was rebranded asDave”, which is just as idiotic. It’s actually shown some decent comedy (with Taskmaster debuting on it), but I still wince whenever I hear the name.

Pan’s Labyrinth was good, but Peter Pan’s Labyrinth was better.

I’m not making this up either - https://www.thevaults.london/peter-pans-labyrinth - It was all very silly, but also very fun too.

Thanks for that, I’ll definitely give it another go then.

I quite liked the first episode but then never got round to watching the rest, there was just way too much good tv on at the time - but is it worth me giving it a shot now that it’s cancelled, or does it end on a cliffhanger / without tying everything up?

Gah, you’ve made me remember how much I love Galavant, along with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend they’re the only two musical tv series that I’ve loved, and I really enjoy the genre in general.

I think it comes down to parenting a lot of the time, I don’t have children myself but most of my friends do and so the kids grew up watching the shows their parents loved (King of the Hill, Doctor Who, Malcolm In The Middle being the main examples that spring to mind) and so those shows have become comfort tv for

It’s terrible that his death was reportedly via suicide, and I wish more money was spent in advertising that if you have suicidal thoughts it’s okay, you’re not alone, many, many people do, and there are doctors who can help you, it won’t always be like this.

I say this as someone who’s suffered from suicidal ideation

Being based in the UK the press were forbidden to even hint that Prince Phillip was unfaithful, but when the internet came along I read a lot of news stories from the European press that heavily suggested he’d been repeatedly unfaithful. What I was wondering though is that is there any hard evidence that he did cheat

It’s a fair enough comment but Angels was written over thirty years ago, so it’s not unreasonable for someone to change their opinion about a topic like this.

I hadn’t known about the Gommorah film or Moonrunners. All the others are pretty famous, and I’m amazed the writers could include things like M*A*S*H or Buffy without the readers being annoyed. But naybe that’s the point....

In 1992 there were no less than four movies based on Christopher Columbus - 1492, Conquest Of Paradise / Christopher Columbus: The Discovery / Carry on Columbus and The Magic Voyage, and yet I’ve not seen a single one of them.

Maybe it’s because I’m based in the UK, but I can’t think of anyone that I know who thinks Mickey Mouse is anything but a slightly annoying (and rarely seen) Disney character, and the only time I’ve ever liked the character was his appearance in Fantasia.

As much as I love Fuller’s previous work I’m struggling to find anything to be excited about by this. That is unless he uses Grandaddy’s The Crystal Lake as its theme tune, because then it’d suggest the show was going to be a mad old thing and I would happily give it a shot.

I know so many people who defend Constantine by saying, yeah, Reeves take on Constantine isn’t great but the movie is fun, which is fair enough, but my response is “But why can’t he make a film about some different magician then, rather than ruining our choices of a decent Hellblazer movie ever happening?”

Then they

The idea that Sex and the City is a better series than The Larry Sanders Show is so laughable that I didn’t bother reading any more of the list the moment I saw its placement.

I’d also agree with, well, all of the suggestions made in this thread, I would say that it’s a new low for the site, but then I find myself

Re: Christopher Eccleston was nine, Tennant was 10, Matt Smith was 11, Peter Capaldi was 12, and Whittaker was 13, which means Tennant is also 14" - What about the War Doctor? Isn’t he officially 9, and Eccleston was 10, Tennant 11, Matt 12, Capaldi 13, Whittake 14 and Tennant Mk.2 15, while Ncuti is 16?

So that others don’t have to hear lots of dull hair chat, right at the end Alex says they are “Tinkering with the further adventures of” when it comes to another Bill and Ted movie.

I’m kind of with you, I think Loki had its moments but was only a fair amount of fun because of all of the strong performances, while Doctor Strange 2 was only okay, though I think that’s partially because Everything Everywhere All At Once showed just how much fun you can have with the concept.
