Ha, I had the same response, I presumed it must be coming out by the end of the year given how long ago it was that I first heard it was going to be filmed, but the fact that they haven’t even started shooting beggars belief.

If they get Ricky Gervais to host and every celebrity he makes a joke about comes on to the stage and punches him, I’d watch the entire show for the first time in my life. And hey, they could even turn it in to proper boxing match, it wouldn’t be the first time Gervais has done such a thing after all:
Thank you, and likewise.
The first episode is on youtube -
That’s how I feel, and I’d feel awful if I was asymptomatic but someone died because I had it and wasn’t aware of it. And it’s got to the point where I find wearing a mask a real grind, but I’ll keep on doing so for the reason above.
Jesus, I didn’t realise vaccine take up was so poor, at least in the UK about 90% of the population have been vaccinated at least once, almost 50% is a depressingly high number.
Thanks for the feedback, and yeah, in the UK nearly 600 died last week alone and yet no one wants to think about the pandemic anymore, nor that people are still getting and badly suffering from long covid.
It’s pretty mind boggling that for the last three years you haven’t been aware that actually yes, they do partially protect the wearer -https://www.nytimes.com/article/covid-masks-protection-stats.html
Also, I never said why I was wearing one, but thanks for not only spreading misinformation but also for patronising me.
What’s the situation with Covid in the US right now? In the UK it appears everyone thinks the whole thing is over with, I’m still wearing a mask when I go out (I had the virus this July and while it was mild, self isolating until I tested negative for two days in a row was the thing I struggled with most), but it…
Just in case anyone isn’t aware (as it wasn’t exactly a huge hit in the UK, though it should have been) the sitcom Benedict did with Sean Lock, 15 Storeys High, is an absolute classic, and a comedy series I love to pieces.
I’m absolutely with you, and as they cast it so well and the actors involved were great, so if feels even more frustrating that they weren’t given he material they deserved.
Yeah, that’s how I felt too, I get that adapting it faithfully would require a much larger budget, but perhaps they should have considered that before attempting to produce an adaptation.
I almost put that as a caveat, and I’m sure you’re right, but I have no personal affection for those brands mentioned above (well, maybe Poundland) whereas I used to love this site, and it’s community, an enormous amount.
The A.V. Club is only reporting on this nonsense for the clicks so they’re just as bad as the subjects they’re mocking. If not worse, because at least none of the companies mentioned above demanded their staff move to another city or lose their jobs.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t see anywhere in the article that the film is based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel of the same name which came out in 2005, one year after Let The Right One In.
I only read it last year and quite liked it, but I feel it would probably work better as a short mini series rather than a…
Ah, it’s quite clear that you’ve never visited the Cley and Salthouse Marshes in Norfolk.
That was the 70's, in this brand new modern century we all carry rifles and at least one spare bullet.
You’re not wrong, my boss has just demanded I hand in my badge and my gun.
I’ve spent my whole life thinking Jennifer Lawrence was English and I have absolutely no idea why. I mean, of course she isn’t, she didn’t start her career in either The Bill or Doctors, and has never been in Doctor Who for that matter, she’s always sounded American, and, um, well, I guess I’m just an idiot. So that’s…
To save people time he said “Yes. Completely accurate”, and how the studio didn’t know what to do with the sequel, but said if he brought in by a specific date they’d let him do what he wanted.
I don’t hate the idea of all video content, and may have missed something, but is there any reason why the whole interview…
