I watched this two weeks ago after someone in the comments section praised it, but though some parts are amazingly funny it was a film which frustrated me overall, it starts off really well but sags badly in the middle, before then becoming extremely funny again at the end and I just wish it had been more consistent.

This leaked online a while back, and eh, it’s okay, but there’s long stretches that are surprisingly dull, which is a shame as the action sequences are great but there’s just too much filler.

Blimey, I didn’t mean to cause upset and I’m sorry I offended you with a throwaway bit of silliness.

This is sad news, but reassure me, the tiger’s still alright, yeah?

I can’t say I’m surprised by this, I once dated a Danish woman and spent some time in Copenhagen, and adverts featuring naked people were on the sides of buses, and she told me that nudity wasn’t uncommon in their children’s programming either.

She was also given the “How A Baby Is Made” book featured in this article

Re: “Was that Martin Freeman as the voice of the unseen director? It sounded like him, but I couldn’t be sure.” - No, it was Brooker himself.

I thought this awful, sadly, I used to love Brooker’s annual wipes, and this year’s Antiviral Wipe back in May was great, but here the satire was muted and mild and almost

Even worse is that when the black character dies his soul is thrust towards a great white “heaven”, which I’m sure wasn’t something Pixar intended but I fid find myself thinking that it was slightly dodgy.

My pet peeve (which I am embarrassed about) was the use of an Operation Wolf arcade machine when it wasn’t released until 1987. It’s undoubtedly petty, but it annoyed me and I hope someone was fired for such a mistake (I don’t, but hey, you get what I mean).

I have to admit that I think it’s a shame Bill and Ted Face The Music didn’t make any of the ballots, I wasn’t expecting it to be in the top 20 list for the site as a whole but it’s a movie that I’m extremely fond of as it was largely heart-warming and very funny stuff, and just the tonic for this miserable bastard of

I really loved Jonathan Strange, I agree with you that it’s lighter than it’s reputation and bulk suggest but it’s an extremely enjoyable romp with a sense of imagination that impressed me an enormous amount. Whereas this is just quite good, very readable but it plays out in a mostly predictable manner.

I’ve only read two books which were published this year, Piranesi by Susanna Clarke, which was lightweight but very enjoyable, and Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell, he’s a writer I normally love to pieces but I though this was cringeworthy stuff, and one of the worst things I’ve ever read, I’m still in a little bit of

I know what you mean, the first series was okay but nothing that special (which is odd as I’m a big fan of Simon Rich normally) but the second season really was a massive step up.

Taskmaster New Zealand Series 1
Corporate Season 3
Dummy Season 1
Medical Police Season 1
Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet Season 1

Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House Of Fun Season 1

Salutations from 2020. And christ, we thought 2016 was a bad year at the time but we truly had no idea how awful things would get.

I really like Noah Hawley, Legion was superb, the first two seasons of Fargo were excellent, and I enjoyed his novels Before The Fall and A Good Father a great deal. But that all said, I’m currently reading The Punch and absolutely hating it, the omniscient narrator is a smug, condescending, patronising idiot who

I watched it for the first time last weekend oddly enough, and liked it a fair amount. It’s a little bit uneven, starting well but then dragging a bit for 20 or so minutes, before the second half really ups it’s game and is laugh out loud funny most of the time. Paul Dooley’s really superb in it too, though Max Von

I really hope this features Sutcliffe The Musical, as it’s easily one of the most fascinating aspects of how the British media covered the subject.

I can’t help but feel it’s a little overrated. Like you I’m a huge fan of his, and the show has a fantastic supporting cast too, but it’s just quite good, impressive for a network sitcom, but its the kind of thing which makes me smile a lot rather than laugh out loud.

I wish I enjoyed it as much as Randall did but I just found it a bit bland, I’m fond of Heidecker’s character but the rest are a bit nothing-y, which surprises given the talent involved in making the show. In case anyone’s interested, I just posted a full review here: https://comedytowatch.com/2020/11/09/tv-review-moon

Lordy, that was a very short list, I was expecting a bit more from it than that.

Also, I’ve recently discovered the films of Masaaki Yuasa and fell madly in love with them, “Mind Game”, “Lu Over The Wall” and “The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl” are all absolutely amazing, and while not quite as good I did enjoy “Ride
