That reminded me of the one John Constantine ends up in at the end of Hellblazer, sure you’re stuck there forever but with John present you’d at least hear some pretty entertaining stories.

Just wanted to thank you for the review, I’d read the first issue but wasn’t sure about bothering with the rest of it, but you persuaded me to give it a shot and I’m really enjoying it.

Out of interest though (and not being snarky at all), but does the AV Club ever publish negative reviews of comics these days? I’m

I’ve seen Catastrophe as it aired in the UK and I liked it an awful lot, it’s probably not quite as good as the other three series but it’s still very strong, and the fact that Delaney was able to make it after what happened is pretty amazing.

Some people I know thought it was running out of steam a little though, so

Ah, I really liked Gilbert, I didn’t have much time for him before and wasn’t a fan of his stand up but he won me over by being so weird. I got a bit bored by the “photo of Greg” thing in the opening round but otherwise I thought he was great.

I finally saw Mary Poppins Returns and have very mixed feelings, I think there’s half a great movie in there and half a fairly boring one. It’s definitely half an hour too long but I think a decent editor could make it in to something special if they cut out a couple of the drabber songs (the one about the leeries

I love Taskmaster but season 4 was a mixed bag for me, I’d say season 5 with Bob Mortimer and Sally Phillips was the best, but season 7 with James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert came a close second.

I hate to say it but I thought Lolly was pretty weak on the show, but she’s won me round as an actress as she’s great in

I wasn’t aware of The Case Against Adnan Syed but thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check that out, and I forgot about American Gods (though had mixed feelings about the first season, half of which I loved a great deal, but the other half was a little patchy) but should have included it. I deliberately left Black

Being bought up by an evil parent company seems to be the main thing, plus now it seems that they only review things which bring in large number of views, rather than shows they genuinely love.

I’d genuinely do it for free if they’d let me.

Last night there was Now Apocalypse, Bob’s Burgers, Last Week Tonight With John Olive, High Maintenance, Crashing, Hot Streets and SMILF (and other less good stuff), while tonight there’s Jon Glaser Loves Gear, American Dad and Those Who Can’t, there’s great stuff still on, it’s just the AV Club isn’t covering it

Woah, woah, woah, I mean sure, it’s a terrible movie that fails on almost every level, but there’s no need to be that mean!

I’ve only seen the first episode but I actively hated it, and think the show deserves a F grade. It’s mean spirited, obnoxious and tiresomely offensive, and put me in a really bad mood after watching it as it’s so pathetic, and yet despite this certain people on twitter seem to be going mad for it. If anyone’s

I feel the same way but it’s rare to meet someone who agrees with me.

I felt the same (and was a huge fan of Spaced so it pained me to do so) but he appeared on Adam Buxton’s podcast recently for an hour long interview and it was fascinating stuff, and really made me like him again.

Really glad to hear you liked it, and yeah, a few of my friends and I still do the “Oh, I know” thing to each other even though that episode aired in 2017!

Last night in the UK the latest series featuring Steve Coogan’s Alan Partridge began, not that I recommend going to the dodgier side of the net and downloading it, that would be illegal, but it was superb stuff and then some and made me laugh a ridiculous amount. I wish this article had made more of their recent album, it was a real delight and one of the best pop albums of that particular year, the way it’s casually mentioned is a real disappointment.

I read a synopsis of the episode and thought, yeah, so glad I quit as it sounded so awful.

And yeah, no celebrations, no articles about it, it is a bit weird but I guess very few people care about the show now, there’s a facebook group devoted to it where people used to love the show but now they just complains about

Actually his sex tape scandal took place in 1988, Hollywood just didn’t give a toss about such a thing back then. And probably don’t now unless forced to.
