Oh I do believe you, just thought it was strange behaviour, but it’s really interesting to hear that he thought such a thing especially as Welles was famous for exaggerating his stories on occasion. What was he like to work with in general out of interest?

Once again I find myself disagreeing with the review, it wasn’t one of the show’s best and the first half was a little too plot heavy, but everything it set up paid off beautifully in the second half - I’ve written another review of the show, which can be found here if anyone’s interested - https://comedytowatch.wordpr

Now playing

I imagine it’s been mostly forgotten by Weird Dreams on the Amiga 500 used to freak me out, some of the monsters were truly odd and it was a right bugger to finish as well. A longplay video of it’s here:

Oh I know, it’s just something that irritates a little as it means certain fantastic films don’t get the exposure they deserve.

That’s weird because in the book itself Bogdanovich mentions giving Welles some of the transcripts of their conversations, only for Welles to present him with a completely different version the next day.

Plus it doesn’t contain the amazing Love, Exposure, or any films by Sion Sono, and only one by Studio Ghibli so I can’t take it seriously in the slightest.

As always with these kinds of list they mostly mention all the worthy films, but not many of the incredibly fun and subversive pieces of foreign cinema.

I liked the season a lot but felt it got a bit too bleak towards the end, even by this show’s standards, with the Bojack strangling scene a step too far, and was hoping after everything Bojack’s been through he wouldn’t plummet to such depths.

As much as I love Orson Welles’ films (which is indeed a great deal) I think his greatest work may be This Is Orson Welles, which he co-authored with Peter Bogdanovich, it’s an amazing read even if some of it isn’t actually true.

Really loved that interview, it was a great read,  so thank you for it.

It was, yeah, I’m really enjoying the way it’s developing, and for once Jeff’s dad came across in a likeable way. And I guessed how the third puppet was being operated but actually seeing it was a laugh out loud moment. :)

I really enjoyed that but agree the ending was all rather weak, and I’m not convinced that letting the spiders suffocate to death is a more humane way of dealing with them than putting them out of their misery instantly with a shot to the head. I also wish there’d been a few more scares when it came to the spiders,

Over here in the UK it’s the Inside No.9 live episode tonight and I can’t wait to see it, I’ve a feeling it’ll be my highlight of the week if it’s as good as the other episodes, and I’ve a real soft spot for live episodes in general.

Tv: Kidding - After a slightly patchy first episode I’m really getting in to this now, Catherine Keener’s superb in it and I’m liking Carrey’s character a lot too. The scene where the family all tell Viv to **** off made me laugh a huge amount too, and it was pleasing to see them support Mr Pickles for once.
Chilling

I love the show an enormous amount but had minor issues with last week’s episode, mainly that Darryl’s subplot with the human baby milk was a bit too silly even for him, and was a little worried it might mean that the 18 episode order might lead to some filler, but this episode quashed such fears and I loved it to

I watched it all and enjoyed most of it, there was the odd weak moment (and Portia DiRossi being greenscreened in to certain scenes is just weird) but it was much better than season 4 and I’m looking forward to the next eight episodes.

That said I’ve no issue with the series ending, and when I revisit it in the future

That does just about sum it up, it’s a real mess and the supposedly satirical side of things is painfully on the nose.

Thanks for your kind words, it’s really appreciated, I posted it on Reddit and got torn about for liking the episode!
