Not quite the same, but I love that Peter Capaldi had letters published in the Radio Times and a Doctor Who fanzine when he was younger.

Those crazy fools! (But thank you too, will definitely watch it at some point during the next couple of weeks).

Thanks for that, I’ll try and pick up a cheap copy on Ebay now.

I was 20 and so out of my teens when it happened, but it was discovering Chris Morris for me. First completely by accident when I had Radio 1 playing at the shop I worked in, and then I devoured The Day Today, and by the time Brasseye came around was fully in love with the man, a love which lasts to this day!

I once had a letter published in Justice League International, and yes, it has been downhill ever since for me as well!

I loved The Raid but then never watched the second due to mixed reviews, is it worth checking out?

That’s very true, though I suppose what made it so special for me is that I’m a massive fan of Pulp, and have seen them live many a time, but I didn’t expect one of their songs to ever appear in the show, nor for it to be used so brilliantly too!

Ah, I get it now, I thought it was referring to fans of the show, rather than the show’s take on fandom, if that makes any sense. Apologies if it doesn’t, it’s been a long old day.

I’m a little bit confused, why do the episodes show why fandom is both the best and the worst? I didn’t get that from any of the episode descriptions, nor the main article itself.

The season four finale should have been included here, the ending is a truly beautiful moment with a fantastic use of Pulp’s Like A Friend.

Afraid not, rather sadly.

I wonder which director would want to take over from Gunn, there’d clearly be be an enormous backlash and it could do there career a fair amount of damage. I mean, surely even Ron Howard wouldn’t step in to this gigantic mess.

Ah, you’re not wrong. I was in a terrible mood yesterday and it was a silly thing to get upset about. I guess I just miss the AV Club of old, and have concerns about how it’s going downhill these days.

So this is basically a story about how someone couldn’t sit through a film in one go, mainly as she was making fairly dull comments about it on twitter? I’m a fan of Leslie’s but christ this is a pathetic newswire, especially given all of the interesting stuff the AV Club fails to report on these days.

Remember when newswire’s were fun to read in general and not full of factual inaccuracies and general idiocy? Christ I miss O’Neal, and whoever thought Sam would be a suitable replacement is an idiot.

I use shower gel. No idea why, and I’ve never had any complaints when it comes to the smell, but it works for me and my current partner seems very happy about the whole situation.

I’ve found myself visiting io9 a lot more recently, it’s not got the greatest writing but the news pieces tend to interest me. And I’m a big fan of the Chris Morris fansite cookdandbombd, which often has a lot of great discussion about a whole variety of subjects.

Heh, I was about to suggest the same thing.

I like the idea of that arc a great deal but I wish they’d gone a step further and gradually killed off the rest of the main cast, leaving only Tandy alive at the end of it all, which for one thing would make the title make sense again.

I know that’s too dark though (especially as it would have meant killing the

Parts of the flying sequence were shockingly weak as well, and the make up for the All Father is a bit off, I guess they’re stretching the budget too far right now with all of the separate story lines.
