@digital_man: Stupid...I should read the posts above me.

How about using OpenDNS? www.opendns.com - that should offer some protection, no?

@LucasThunderbird: I agree...I was stunned to read the headline. This is far from guaranteed, though I'm sure that Google will try their level best.

@viatorci: That's great news! I'm still waiting for my upgrade....

I'm ecstatic!! But someone please convince me that I'm not going to have to also change my GrandCentral number to some new Google Voice number? Please? My GrandCentral Number really is my one number for life, right?

Nice. At first I was wondering why I would ever want to use this as opposed to CutePDF Writer software. Then, the answers became glaringly obvious:

This one still falls short to me.

Hallelujah! I long for the day when the new version is actually here rather than "imminent," but it's nice to know that something is happening!

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but I use a pen and a legal pad.

I do dearly love Firefox Portable, but my #1 vote was for KeePass Portable. Without KeePass, I can't get into any of my most crucial sites on Firefox.

@jrobie: Hmmm...thanks. I don't like the "easier to corrupt" part, but in that I would only need to use it portably, presumably whatever files I would be using it on, I would have backup copies elsewhere.

@Morgan Lord: I must admit, TCExplorer does look like a Godsend. Has anyone here tried it?

@clothmother: Wait a minute here...I can run TrueCrypt as a Portable app off of my USB stick even if I don't have admin privileges on the machine itself?? That's great news IF it is indeed true...

Duh - somehow I voted twice...sorry about that.
