“If it is your job to advance technology, safety cannot be your No. 1 concern,” Levandowski told me. “If it is, you’ll never do anything. It’s always safer to leave the car in the driveway. You’ll never learn from a real mistake.”

Yeah, but you’re an outlier because you’re commenting on an article about one. Most people see a crossover-shaped thing and go about their lives without any memory of what happened. It’s a rolling memory-wipe device from MIB.

WTF - is that the current Avalon? Why would they do that? It makes the Predator grill look restrained in comparison. Also, it’s mostly blocked off, so it’s not even functional. Obviously form isn’t following function here... what’s going on? Also, do Avalon buyers even notice or care?

Nor manual.

The more that I think about it - and I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday - Lincoln should have gone with falconry instead of bowhunting/archery.

Not my story, but a friend of the family’s - the guy had stripped a Craftsman socket working on an airplane and he went to Sears to get a replacement but they said it looked fine. He walked outside to his truck, took out a large hammer, reduced the socket to a handful of metal chunks with one blow, then walked back

I forgot what this post was about after seeing that guy. It’s not for hunters, but archers! He looks very serious, too. What’s he going to kill that he’ll being it home in a white-on-white Continental?

I freaked out when I saw a Charger in my backup camera once - the DRLs were flashing! I understand why it happens, but in the moment I thought I was being pulled over for slowly backing out of a parking space.

You’re cherry-picking from that Hemmings site. If you included the full coupe definition then the i8 would clearly fit.

That’s the first thing I noticed - no giant screen in the middle of the dash! I’d bet half the reviews of the car will knock it for not having a screen (where’s my nav system, etc.), while the others will praise it.

Not enough doors or seats for the American market. But yes, infinitely more useful and better looking than the actual thing  - I passed an ecosport on the highway today and even my son laughed at it.

Also, the 9th gen coupe was a good end to the line. It was a tasteful evolution of the 8th gen and is well proportioned.

My in-laws were car shopping and had to pass on the Accord because of the seating position - the seat couldn’t be adjusted high enough for them!

Interesting - and extending the Miata/British roadster analogy, the GT-R is still competitive a decade later.

How many BOF SUVs can we buy at this moment that aren’t huge (i.e. not a Tahoe/Yukon/Expedition)? There’s the Wrangler, 4Runner, and...? It seems like this could be a great thing for the market, but knowing them it’ll probably have a CVT.

The one thing I wondered about that last gen Pathfinder - why would you choose such a weird position for the rear door handles? Kids can’t reach those!

It’s times like this I wish I lacked ethics and morals and went to business school.

smaller turbo engine mounted further back in the engine bay

Too early for reading comprehension on my part, I guess. I took the statement “Since when does Canada get “CA” but Mexico only gets “M”?” to mean that the CA in USMCA stood for Canada.

Canada didn’t get two letters: United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement
