The most referenced city in music is probably Chicago because there’s like a million early Blues songs that contain a throwaway line that is some variation of “I’m goin to Chicago” in them. And since Blues musicians all plagiarize from each other, this lyric multiplies exponentially.

Both my son and I crack up when Curious George smokes a pipe. Monkeys were so much cooler then.
