also, like, if Claire is bringing penicillin to 1766 Scotland (a full 162 years before it was discovered) does that mean everyone in the current 2017 timeline is already dead from all the antibiotic-resistant super-bugs?

“well, i guess it’s time to go crush someone’s dreams!”
Gordon didn’t die alone, he died happy. last week he burned all of his journals and left his illness up to fate. this week, Scoot’s line-reading of, “yeah, i know it is!” is probably the most genuinely at peace we’ve seen Gordon all series.
this episode was paiiinfully bad. so stale, so unfunny, so excruciatingly unnecessary in 2017.
it is criminal that we are not getting recaps for Speechless (and The Mick!) here at AVC while anchors like Modern Family still merit episodic analysis. i truly don’t get it. why hand out B-’s and C’s every week to this dead horse when we can be talking about the awesome family dynamics of Speechless or the ABSURD…
“i did night work so long it turned into day.”
lol Stephen Falk tweeted that they weren’t able to license any real hard-core porn so they had to go out and film their own. im ded.
oof.
newp. they physically interacted with each other last season.
welp if you actually watched the show you’d know they already addressed this last season. Maura won’t be doing any more physical transitioning stuff bc the meds and surgery could interfere with her heart.
ohhh Joanie Joanie Joanie - that pained look of sadness/disappointment/ennui she sports after Donna repeats her “you’re fearless!” spiel is SO familiar to me. my mom gets the same way after a few glasses of vino and i am almost positive we’ve had the same exchange, verbatim.
really stunning cinematography in this episode, esp those family beach shots right at the end.
didn’t she sign the divorce papers giving her like, almost no alimony or something? (because she was too dim to realize how much living in an apartment in LA actually costs?)
Janet Varney is a comedic GENIUS tho. Becca might be the worrrrrst mom ever but she *always* makes me laugh; and her cucking Vernon so hardcore like that was some funny-ass shit. 😝
eh, i feel like B- was a little harsh. i’d put it more in the B/B+ range. that moment where Lindsey falls ass-over-teakettle for Edgar’s player/neg monologue was adorable. they’re fooling themselves if they think that shit is gonna stay casual for long.
found the guy who didn’t read the review.
what the actual heck? i posted this comment on the Outlander recap but for some reason it ended up here. (my criticism still applies though.)
