it's been a REALLY long time since i watched a show that gave me several "YAAAAAS GIRL!" and "what the fuuuuuuuck?" moments per episode.

Playing House, Casual, and Younger all got the proverbial shaft. smh. :/
i feel like Playing House, Casual, and Younger are all worthy of summertime consideration; but i guess if it doesn't appeal to young, straight, white guys then the AVC just isn't interested.
"It seems to me like what you actually want is a page to post comments about these shows you're watching…"
uh, recaps and analysis of new TV shows are the #1 reason i visit AV Club and i suspect i'm not alone. if you wanna discuss the intricacies of a 15 year-old sci-fi show i'm sure there are *hundreds* of message boards and 4chan threads in which you could do so.
you probably haven't heard of them because they both feature strong, black, female lead characters and also feature black and female writers and directors, a fact which seemingly renders them ineligible for AV Club attention. (it's super easy to do a search up top, they've both been mentioned several times in WOT and…
check the comments any time Queen Sugar or Claws are mentioned in WOT. there are literally people all over AVC requesting this. just because you haven't seen something (prob bc you're poring over recaps from a 15 year-old sci-fi show) doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
um, and what data is this assumption based on, exactly? every time Claws or Queen Sugar gets mention in WOT there are people clamoring for recaps. also, there are currently 8 shows (EIGHT!) in the recap section that are being released weekly, so i feel like both of your arguments are rendered kinda moot.
yeahhhh, all i'm getting is, "it's my last week here and i wanna write about this obscure show i really liked from 15 years ago instead of current shows that people actually care about this summer." :\
soooooo, let me get this straight:

FOR THE LOVE OF NIECY, PLEASE COVER THIS SHOW.
he threw down a pretty good effort against the angels last season. (even if he did end up losing, kinda.)
Jesse is for sure a dick, and even worse, he lacks proper motivation as a character, but damnnnn the man sure can fight though, am i right? (gotta love a fight scene that features a dead body on a hook as a prop.)
this was also a plotline in the S1 finale of Misfits. the creepy cult of preppies who were all hypnotized by the girl who could use her voice to control people. Nathan & the gang thwarted her by wearing headphones. (a fun connection, as both Tulip & Cassidy are Misfits alums, though neither appeared in the episode i'm…
…as opposed to men who have been writing songs for hundreds of years about how beautiful their girl is and/or how they're sad that girls won't talk to them?
no love for The Good Fight,The Crown, or Narcos?
snaps for Speechless. what a great little show.
Aline and Rachel have stated in interviews that when they originally created/pitched the series, they had a very clearly mapped-out 4-season structure in mind. (looking more and more hopeful that they might actually get it, too! eee!)
