You must have been driving on some wide lanes.

I’ll add to the inevitable pile here, as saying cars are “disposable” is going to rile the masses.

Very true indeed. But you can thoroughly appreciate both people and things, without diminishing them.

That is a nice 505! Yeah, the metric wheels and limited tire selection was a terrible idea. There were replacement 14" and 15" wheels available though, which are also highly sought after by the old Subaru crowd, as the 4 x 140 lug pattern is pretty rare.

And also don’t sleep on the Dangel 4x4 versions!

Really a design language that was way ahead of its time. I see this now on so many new cars.

It is true - the cargo area is huge. I have one of the turbo diesel wagons as my winter vehicle and all around hauler. I can get a full sheet of plywood in the back and close the hatch. It drives sort of like a soft, comfortable sled - very stable in a straight line, with a ton of suspension travel.

I believe salvage title vehicles are bought back at a vastly reduced rate, if at all.

Yeah, especially at volume of more than a couple vehicles, I believe in many states you would need a dealer’s license. While I am not opposed to people gaming this system and making money, they should indeed pay taxes on the net profit. Also, the real shame is that the cars are being scrapped instead of being given to

Yup, speculative profits created by regulatory compliance assets...the American Dream (tm) still lives!

Add me to the list of people who thought that you had to be the owner of the car back in 2015 in order to get the settlement funds. I know lots of people (both friends and family) who simply traded in their car once the announcement was made, instead of waiting for the settlement to finish. These would have been

The ex who we are now ghosting...even though we share a Netflix account and are still both on the lease.

So if Porsches and VWs have a “frunk”, is the proper term for this innovation a “drunk”?

Yeah, this is the key here, and very telling. I want Trump to name some identifying features of someone who doesn’t “look as if they should be allowed to vote”.

Trade unions in much of Europe are also deeply involved in education and environmental issues, seeing their member’s interests as also related to health and long-term industry growth. In the US, there seems to be a disconnect between many of these issues for unions, who are just focused on the next short term win for

That’s not how it works, though that is the line they feed you. Taxes are paid on profits, not revenue. So if a business hires that person , it would have the effect of lowering the taxes paid as well. Lowering tax rates does benefit the shareholders /owners of a business though, and makes it more attractive to make

I remember driving through Texas a while ago, and got a chuckle out of : Dick Poe Dodge Ram

Here in Portland we have Carr Nissan, Carr Subaru, and Carr Chevrolet : Carr cars.

I’m thinking it was a GoPro camera flying off. There seem to be rearward shots earlier in the cut from a camera in about that location.

Yeah, the plot thickens, as I now see that the motorcycle is the same one that merges at 0:15 in the video. He must have got on the gas pretty quick after merging behind the truck...wish there was a rearview camera too.
