I agree with the your sentiments, with similar incidents in different races resulting is different penalties. But this situation has never actually happened before, so its hard to criticize the stewards for being inconsistent, especially since the regulations don’t actually require a disqualification.

The opposite is true now, there is little incentive for anyone to enter the sport. The only way for a new team to be competitive is to spend an exorbitant amount of money, and even then the economics probably wont work and the chance of success is pretty low.

To be fair, needing to take out a $2k loan to cover a $5K toy means you probably shouldn’t be buying it, regardless of the state of the economy.

I think this is actually good sign for F1's growing following in the US, as there is a new crop of idiots every week that don’t understand how the internet works.

I check jalerpnork and never see race results except for every time there’s a race

The lightning had 325 goals this season, 198 of them were scored by players not named Kucherov, Stamkos or Point.

The guy was a janitor, not a criminal mastermind. Even if he did access the data, what was he going to do with it?

What? I’d be shocked if it wasn’t dead miles all the way back to WV.

He wouldnt...the $1200 was just for the trip out. The return trip was unpaid .

Depends on market and individual driver, but typically Uber takes a 25% cut of the ride fare (and 100% of the booking fee). So the driver probably made around $1200 for 10 hours work.

Emotional Support Animals are not considered Service Animals under the ADA and are not covered by any of the ADA’s rules. Business have no legal requirement to accommodate ESA’s, only service animals (which are limited to dogs and, amusingly, miniature horses.)

I wondered the same thing

I’m actually impressed, i’ve never once seen police respond to a non injury traffic accident in less than 30 minutes.

Would you expect a rental car company to give you a car today if your license expires tomorrow?

Drivers generally get about 75% of the ride fare, minus the booking fee which is not impacted by Surge. So if your ride with surge is $10 more than normal, the driver gets about $7.50 of the extra fare.

Golf is turning into the NFL. I email them probably 10 times a game to let them know they missed a holding call and they never do anything about it.

Pretty much exactly this. I’m not sure what more people want them to do, they suspended the surge pricing nearly immediately after finding out about the bombing.

That was the point, by tracking Lyft driver’s movement, they could compare it to their driver activity to figure out which of their drivers were working for both services.
