I generally leave my cat at home when I travel, in this case it was a 3000Km move so that wasn’t really an option. I understand some people take their pets with them for any travel and find that ridiculous unless it is for an extended trip. I also tried to have my cat checked as cargo despite the risks but the airline

Definitely more expensive than the flight, but neat option.

Wow, that was... pretty unremarkable.

Westjet, and it was a lot less hassle than I feared. My cat is pretty chill in general though. They do charge a fee, but aside from that it went off really well.

Well, that escalated quickly. 0 to beastiality in 2 comments.

I think this is actually a great way to get more kids to visit the park, but it looks like in many of the installations he’s put screws into loving trees... hope they close up those holes properly once he removes the items, I’m surprised they let that be done.

So you’re going to go all Fox news and only quote the part you want to out of context?

There is a difference between “imaginary super-allergenic freak” and “imaginary super-allergenic freak case”... Or you can just keep reading whatever you want and ignore reality...

Yes, and you should know that based on the facts in the article, not some imaginary super-allergenic freak case which doesn’t respond to meds, my comments are spot on and valid for the case presented.

Possible, could even just be the person beside them had a sweater with dog hair on it. Honestly the exposure could have happened in the airport waiting for the plane and just kicked in on the flight. Too many unknowns to really get into specifics.

You wouldn’t know if there were dogs/cats on your flights in most cases unless they bark/meow. They look just like regular carry-on in most cases the soft carriers are really just bags. If you have a severe allergy, you should never forget that enclosed space with people you don’t know = potential exposure to allergen

It might not be as bad as direct contact, but with that many animals it might be. Different allergies are set off different ways, sometimes it requires contact with skin, specifically with eyes/mouth/mucus membrane, inhaling of the irritant, etc.

The best thing you can do is put away your clothes after they are

No, you are commenting on specific cases which have nothing to do with this article or the context. You are irrational and suffer from lack of logic, sorry there is no pill for that either ;)

Which obviously isn’t the case here. Thanks for playing, try reading the article. Unlike allergies there is a 100% guaranteed treatment for poor reading comprehension, it is called “Try harder you fool”. :)

I do, and that is how I can tell based on the facts in the article this wasn’t one of those. Thanks for playing.

Oh look! Someone who does the exact thing they are whining about and assumes they know more when they really don’t. How remarkable! You are a winner (I lie) :)

You know of your allergy and you know the risk. So, since you are the special case here, you might just need to make different travel arrangements that work for your situation. Sucks to have special needs but that isn’t society’s fault.

I don’t run around crying because people buy jackets, pillow and blankets stuffed

Huzzah!

How serious was that reaction again? So Serious that they were able to fly later that day on another plane which likely has dog/cat dander in it because they all have animals on them at some point and the cleaning isn’t exactly sterile?

You somehow have facts not included in the article? Or are you pulling random crap

Huzzah!

I tried to have my cat fly in cargo. They wouldn’t let me. It was am 8 hour flight. It may not even be an option.
