The unearthing the undrafted guys like TJ hand Covington are part of the Process.
Without The Process, this undrafted guy never gets a legit chance to play in the NBA. His a D (Im sorry) G-Leaguer who never gets more than a couple minutes of NBA action throughout his whole career.
They had to be bad enough to give him a chance. Small part of the process, was diamond in the rough searching. Drafting and stashing foreign talent overseas. TJ has been fun to watch for a while.
How are they in any way at all similar players? Mayfield much more accurate while having a higher Y/attempt. Almost double the TD/INT ratio. Ran/Scrambled less than half the times as Jackson and less effective at picking up yards.
Joel Embiid? Anthony Davis? Unless you’re not counting those as true centers, I’d argue that both of those guys have the potential to also be once-in-a-generation talents.
eh, I mean how disappointed can you be with Dwight for merely becoming the 15th best center ever instead of, like, the 8th best? Prime Dwight wasn’t appreciated for the force he was—he was an unbelievable defensive force (seriously, we’ve all already forgotten how amazing peak Dwight was defensively) and was probably…
Ummm, what Joel Embid?
Did Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid retire early?
Of all time? He carried a team to the Finals, won three DPOTY awards, should have won an MVP, and is a lock for the HoF.
You’re arguing against your own premise here: The Spurs have no players but have shown time and time again that they can find and develop GREAT players from anywhere in the draft. No, they’ve shown it twice...since 19-fucking-99. Tim Duncan, David Robinson and Sean Elliot were picks 1, 1 and 3 so maybe there’s…
Eerie and tragic, considering he and Eddie Griffin were teammates at Roman Catholic High School in Philly before both entered the NBA.
That’s because there were no actual NCAA infractions by PSU. They broke state and federal law and have paid fines, served prison sentences, etc. But the NCAA does not exist to enforce criminal statutes, and they only have power to penalize programs based on contracted by-laws. That’s why they had to rescind penalties…
I love op pieces that signal early on that they’re full of shit. That line and “a coach’s job is to eliminate guesswork, not create it.” Says who? What? It is? No it’s not. Oh you’re just going to declare it and go from there? Cool, declaring yourself full of shit.
Well, in an article outlining his alleged shittiness in regards to a particular individual and recent lawsuit, it doesn’t really make narrative sense to diverge into recounting his past fight against racism in sports and general football expertise and achievements, impressive as they may be. It’s not an article about…
Nice story. Under the circumstances why do you think it matters? His football career is definitely a minor footnote here.
You forgot the part where only 200 people watched it.
No word yet on if the “Jewish Barstool employees are literally Nazi’s” take qualifies for 2017 or 2018 Awards?
Her apology says she was not Ryan, but she was Ryan. Sure, she wasn’t a man and her legal name isn’t Ryan but all the shitty things Ryan wrote did come out of her. Those people who were hurt were hurt by her. I get pretending to be a man to pass in a male dominated industry, I don’t get being asshole to other women to…
Ah, so you kept those goalposts moving. Thank you!
