The fact that they remove entire radio stations from the game over time is reason enough to never trust “games as a service” or even digital only (yes I’ve been digital only on PC for 15+ years). If i want to play the original Vice City I only need to pop the disc in my ps2 and fire it up, but the same isn’t possible

Those Meddling Kids!

The only Sonic that Robotnik needs to get is a Route 44.

And klefki is awesome, it jingles and dragons quiver.

I didn’t know I wanted this until you mentioned it

Now playing

If somebody ever tries to tell you that Dynamax was better than Mega Evolution, please point to Mawile to show how stupid that statement is.

Eh, I didn’t think it was that weird. It’s not like it flew in the face of the well-established Sonic origin story we’re all accustomed to (because that doesn’t exist). And as some have pointed out, it’s not even the first owl character appearance in Sonic. She does seem like a bit of an afterthought character, but I

Its a Sonic adventure reference and probably an Archie reference as well. Since a tribe of echidnas is also just a thing in general.

It kind of fits though, since they do say that he can never go back. He does mention Longclaw again in the film. But all this analysation about the story is kind of silly anyway, since there's barely a developed story there. Heck, the games have a deeper mythology involving the emeralds than this movie did.

So, my wife and I were able to see this last year in a pre-screening thing... the special effects weren’t done and some scenes were still storyboard.

Yeah, it's less forced than it is a joke about how expensive it is here (I have one bedroom in the East Bay for the bargain price of $1200/mo)

BUT!  Is it as awkward as Head and Shoulders from Evolution?  The greatest ad placement of all time?

From the weird Sonic anime movie.

Wait,Kaepora Gaebora is in the Sonic movie?

They have reduced the time it takes to get the Action Skill from game to game. I think you’re correct on BL2, the Presequel I think was level 3, and then BL3 is level 2, the first time you level up.

You get access to your three abilities at level 2 which you will get as soon as you fight the tutorial boss and beat him. It's so much better that they changed it because waiting till 5 always felt strange.

In BL3 you get your action skill at level 2. There’s a linear prelude area that doesn’t have sidequests. By the time you reach the first fast travel waypoint, you already have level 2.

You hit level 2 like 10 minutes into the game, after killing the first boss.  You get your ult then.

I think so? You level up and get skill points very early on, like in your first 15-30 minutes

It was definitely weird on BL2. That’s no longer the case for BL3, you get your first point at lvl 2. Guessing that with the introduction of multiple potential action skills per character, they wanted people experimenting as soon as possible.
