Ah yes, as everybody knows, when you want to capitalize on somebody’s name for clicks, you leave their name out of the headline, don’t mention them at all until the third paragraph of the story, and write the story about how much their coach sucks. This is good and informed media analysis and you’re not at all a…
In fact, yes! You might even say that the December blog about Thibodeau over-relying on his starters and burning them out before the playoffs arrive is specifically mentioned and linked to in the post above this comment section.
I’ve only been following basketball for a couple years now but I have never read anything about Melo that’s been positive? It’s either “Melo is a problem” or some handwringing about how he’s not a problem yet but probably will be.
dude, it was harassment. this is the same company that loves to talk about how it has employee conduct requirements and is a no tolerance bragger when it comes to this shit. why would that same company hire a man who was FOUND TO HAVE HARASSED multiple women. it wasnt like he was accused and not found guilty of the…
yeah if you want your brand associated with all of that “weird stuff” (aka sexual harassment) you can take the hit associated with it too.
I have an entirely new respect for LeBron after watching him as he handled this. He was much more gracious, respectful, and thoughtful than most people would have (or even could have) been after being unexpectedly confronted with this unpleasant news.
I also couldn’t believe that they dropped that news on him during a live interview on television. Total dick move. Don’t think I would have been as graceful as LeBron in that same situation.
It really is a twisted sort of “gotcha” moment, to illicit an emotional response we didn’t need to be privy to. Asshole move for sure.
It’s weirdly callous. LeBron’s played for Pop multiple times as part of Team USA and has repeatedly expressed his love and appreciation for the guy. Dropping that bomb on him is a dick move, and honestly I thought he handled it amazingly well.
Just because you’re a great QB doesn’t mean you’ll be good on a microphone and there was no indication that Favre was any kind of good speaker. Even watching him on Gruden’s QB Camp, he didn’t seem like he couldn’t co-host a show.
We just call gross sexual harassment “some weird stuff” now?
It’s almost as if context matters, huh?
Hes older than kawhi, has a completely different skillset than kawhi, and had a different injury than kawhi
Other injured players at least turn up on the bench to cheer their teams on, it’s not as if it’s too much to ask from someone who only played nine games to maybe show his face once in a while, but apparently that’s a bridge too far.
I’m pro-player all day long. But I gotta disagree with this. Part of being an athlete is dealing with injuries, and even under the best circumstances, injuries are a constant threat.
What does this even mean? He played nine games, averaged 17 per in those games, and then decided he needed more rehab. There aren’t any structural issues or he wouldn’t have played when he did, and the injury he does/did have wouldn’t have anything to do with a blown knee or a torn Achilles. That would be an entirely…
Trade Kawhi. Stockpile some youth, understanding you’ll never get 1:1 value for him, get the $200 million extension as far away from you as you can, and go from there. Evidently, they don’t need him to make the playoffs in the best year for the Western Conference in at least a decade, so get him what he wants, get…
As a Spurs fan I am fine with Kawhi not playing and making sure he is healthy so he can get paid but it feels like he is not exactly handling the situation very well. It is hard to know because he pretty much never says anything but I would at least want someone who is supposed to be one of the leaders of the team to…
