I have Verizon FiOS. I pay for the 25/15 package. This is what I get usually.

@gunluva plays the hopscotch on the pro circuit: This is the #1 reason to become a father (being able to play with LEGOs again). But that is pretty drastic, so just find a young cousin, nephew, niece, or a friends kid and take them if you are that self conscious.

@joe.glass: He is reporting mbps while your torrent client is most likely reporting MBps. 1MBps = approx 8mbps. Therefore a 30mbps connection will get you about 3MBps speed on torrents. I have FioS and frequently see 3MBps speeds in either direction.

When I had to move my home office I needed a new desk. But instead of buying one, I built one. The new office uses Ikea kitchen cabinets for storage (it is also our storage room/pantry). I have 2 base cabinets, one with doors and one with drawers. I made an L shaped desktop from 3/4 plywood that I stained and put a

@superhappyfuntime: That would work too. Though in my experience, and it's been a long time since I saw one of those EL sheets, I would think that the LEDs would be brighter. But I could be wrong.

I'm sorry, but this isn't really all that impressive. I have been modding computers for years now and did stuff like with with EL wire before most people knew what the stuff was. The problem is, as others have said, the thickness of the wire.

@CountryJustice: I have an LG Xenon and it has a similar function that blocks calls AND text messages.

@Sora57: Redundancy is critical for any DR planning, however it is not always possible. The reasons can be technical, financial, geographical, political, or even contractual. Therefore, the mobile switches come in quite handy.

@philselmer: God I forgot how awesome that is. lol. Thank you for reminding me.

@dicknervous: Oh, and it was built right here in NY at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. :)

@MikeofLA: If my memory serves me, that is the Iowa-class Battleship USS Missouri firing a full broadside bombardment of it's 16" Mark 7 guns. They could send a 2,700lb shell about 23.5 miles. Also, firing all 9 at once like that I think moved the ship 90-100 feet in the opposite direction.

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.1.1: But it would only be as effective as an AC if there was no humidity. Trust me, all the fans in the world can't touch an AC when there is 80% or more humidity.

@♫ Realityism ♪♫: OMG! I didn't know they sold those! I love the KB on my Thinkpad. It sucks for gaming, but for typing it can't be beat!

@moe52: Monkeys peel them from the bottom, and if anyone is an expert on peeling bananas it would be a monkey.

@Anonymoose: Perhaps you meant to say "FIFA is more corrupt than a New Jersey state official who regulates the waste management indusrty."

I have used this for years when modding computers and running power wires for fans and lights inside the case. Twist them up like this, then sleeve them, and you have some seriously neat cables. I also use the same idea (just not with a drill) to the KVM cables I use in the home office since I have a dual monitor KVM
