Peering agreements were designed to be setup between backbone providers. This is why they have the whole equal data both ways part. It's like the Interstate Highways or railroads. The source and the destination typically is not directly on the highway, railway, or backbone.

So it really is the end of the world!

If it is a copyrighted or trademarked word, then someone who buys it can make it exclusive.

When my daughter was born 5 years ago, I had to move my home office. From 2 pieces of 4x8 1/2" plywood I made an "L" shaped desk that is 10' x24" along one side and 4'x30". The main difference is that I used some Ikea kitchen cabinets to hold it up instead of legs at either end and a 1x4 along the wall for the back

Pure genius!

LOL! I didn't even thin—- oooooh shiny!!!!

I have the original Samsung Focus I bought the by WP7 came out. I love it and always assumed that I would upgrade to the follow up that Samsung came out with, the Focus S. That is until I saw the Lumina 900. I've been waiting for this to come out so I can give my Focus to the wife.

I think they will pull some of it off in 5 years. It will just take another 10 to get the tech out of the lab.

In some parts of the video you can see someone in the background standing next to what appears to be some sort of control box with big buttons on it. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the kill switch.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. A general concept is not something that should be patentable. The specific method and process for achieving that should be.

The only time I used FB messaging is when for whatever reason I don't have the person's email address. As for FB chat, I use Trillian because, well, it just works. ;)

Love it!

Ya have to love a woman who can open your beer with a CD.... :)

Better yet, how about a Nuka Cola Quantum in the old Coke bottle!

Yup. You can start with the communication and encryption systems. They are probably the most important ones to destroy. If the communications systems get compromised our military is in for a world of hurt until they change everything, and that isn't easy to do. It's not quite as simple as changing a password.

That's not 100% true. The law is still on the books. It is just that the State Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional and told the legislature to fix it. And as any NY resident knows, the legislature couldn't fix a dead light bulb if their lives depended upon it.

The PC is represented. Age of Empires, WoW, Starcraft, Diablo, Baldur's Gate, CivIII, etc.
