@Simoniz: As tempting as it might be, no I don't. She doesn't even have a webcam...

I use LogMeIn for something completely boring and mundane. I built a computer for a friend and set it up she that when she needs help she can fire up LogMeIn and I can remote to her machine to either show her how to do something or troubleshoot a problem. I actually even edited a paper she wrote that way...

Hmm, does taking apart a brand new Apple IIe that your Mom bought for you and your siblings as a Christmas gift the day after, and putting it back together (working!) count? I was only 16 at the time...

@jbhak4: In the US the DCMA makes circumventing or breaking encryption illegal. So if you have a DVD that is not encrypted, then you are totally in the clear.

@BingleyJoe: I never thought of that! That's a great method! Thank you!

My father, who is not particularly computer savy, bought an iMac recently (I think about a year ago). He had OS X 10.5.6.

@Pentaxanadian: Sounds like something I used to make when I worked at Wendy's in high school back in the 80s. We would take leftovers to make a sandwich with 3 burgers, chicken, cheese, and all the fixins.

I'm sorry, but any chart that is about caffenated drinks and calories that does not include Mt Dew in all it's various flavors is incomplete and nearly worthless.

@ianturton: Did you have the Carpal Tunnel release surgery? And it looks like that? I had it a while back and only had a 1" cut at the bottom of my hand.

Custom painted Logitech G5 wired mouse. The only thing that makes it better than the MX518 is the weights. I like a heavy mouse. It was custom painted by Brad Galvin and MNPCTech.com. I use this for fragging my friends to pieces in CoD, Left 4 Dead, and playing Fallout 3 and Sacred 2.

You mean there is more than 1 way to knot a tie? Oh my!

I live in NY State and I can tell you this much. Depending upon how much over the limit (and where) 99% of the time if you go to the court date they will offer you a lesser charge (non-moving violation) with a fee that is close to what the speeding ticket would have been.

As many have said before, this is a wine spritzer. My wife and mother-in-law do this all the time with White Zin. However, they use the flavored slightly carbonated waters to add a little more zing to it. They particularly like the black cherry and white grape when added to white zin.

I hate to admit this, but for perfect grilled chicked cutlets just pop about 2lbs of them in one of those Jack Daniels Teriyaki EZ Marinade bags overnight. Toss on grill for about 2-5 minutes (depending upon how thick) and Viola!

@Thain: Compressed Air + Laptop Vents + 2x a year = happy laptop.

I got rid of a ton of fees my bank, Citibank, was charging me. It seems that when I no longer owed them a crapload of credit card debt I didn't qualify for the "minimum balance" of all my linked accounts and they started charging me just to have the checking account, for every check over 5 that I wrote, and more.
