Most of the advice astrology gives is more or less positive, even if bland, anodyne, and hopelessly vague. I would question whether a lot of tenets of many religions have anything to do with being a good person, even the ones that purport to be about morality. You ever meet a really mean, nasty Christian who thinks

That religion is so ingrained is what makes it so much more worthy of being called out than astrology.  I think there are a lot of things people shouldn’t believe past the age of 12 (e.g., America is the greatest country on Earth, RBIs are a meaningful stat in baseball), but only some of those things, if believed,

But who cares? What’s the real harm of someone who reads the horoscope every morning or does a Tarot card reading? I mean, I also kind of think, like, dodgeball and kickball are “silly as hell to genuinely participate in as an adult,” but you can find plenty of leagues for those things.

Which you adopted as reflecting your own thoughts and the thoughts of a significant number of servers.

No, because I have no way of knowing whether including change on a tip actually makes any server’s life more inconvenient. And even if it does, it only does so in the smallest, most incremental way possible. Also, I fundamentally disagree with your definition of rudeness. It is not necessarily rude to eat the last

If the exact round number makes your life easier, then the non round number on the other end is harder for the other person. That is rude. Fundamentally.

No they are. Cause almost nobody does this shit. If you do, your like the one person who did it that night.

Lol, if I leave a 25%+ tip, I’m not going to worry too much about whether the server thinks I’m an asshole because I didn’t round to the nearest dollar.  I have to think there aren’t many servers who think anything about a 25% tip “reads as rude,” especially since the tip is (1) probably going to the server’s paycheck

ok

The owners of Tesla and most important customer of SpaceX didn’t think it was a personal interview. It impacted their view of the companies Elon Musk runs. They obviously thought he was representing the companies that he runs.

I guess if you don’t see how two adverse consequences for the companies Musk runs that directly resulted from his interview demonstrate that it’s not a “personal” interview, there probably isn’t much hope for you to understand very basic concepts about how things work. Saying he is representing the companies he runs

Yeah, I don’t agree at all with that.

No, he was doing a personal interview.

So, even without that clarification, Musk is still being hypocritical and would deserve to be called out. But in any event, I never blamed the reader for not being aware of what the linked article said, I just provided that context.

I actually agree with that point, in general, and have said as much myself. I think that’s missing the mark here, because it seems to me the real criticism here is more about Musk hosting at all, and less about their treatment of him (which the review indicates was expected).

Then I guess I’m not sure who your comment is for or what exactly it’s arguing against.  I don’t see anyone acting “enraged” that they didn’t rip on Musk.

What’s weird is no part of this is even close to true, but I’m sure you consider being undefeated against bullshit straw men an accomplishment.

It’s weird, because I never said Musk was an evil dangerous man. I pointed out his hypocrisy. I’m not sure I’m the one who’s losing their mind here....

Musk got high while he was performing part of his job, and caused harm to the company as a result. Beyond that, if you click to the linked article, the person who was complaining about being fired did NOT show up to work high or drunk. She used medical cannabis, as prescribed to her, during off hours. She was fired

There’s nothing wrong with criticizing very powerful people.
