I LOVE THIS BAG.
I LOVE THIS BAG.
Oooh, that's probably it. This was a large rectangular dish that I think was meant for the oven and it was on top of 2 burners.
Maybe! I have no idea, but we've never done it since.
Holy crap! But Pyrex is meant to be heated. I mean, it's Pyrex! My mom has a ton of Pyrex stuff from her single days (like almost 40 years ago) because it lasts so long. Maybe there's a maximum temperature? IDK.
I'm so glad that our Thanksgiving (in Canada) is at the beginning of October and not the end of November, like yours. Because December is all parties and family do's. There's so little time to eat healthy and decompress!
I'm not being snarky, I just was confused by the marshmallows, which, if you looked at the whole thread, have been explained to me.
Yes! My dad was so pissed because I have had serious accidents with flying broken things before (almost lost an arm) but my mom kept saying 'It's Pyrex! You're supposed to heat it up!' I think it was 30 year old Pyrex? Maybe that was the problem.
I know! I've had good ones at restaurants and other people's homes and they are DIVINE.
Yay!
Your people are wise.
THIS.
I think looking at a jello salad would be pleasing, but I think I couldn't actually eat one. Maybe just have it for display purposes.
We don't have parsnips. I'm going to ask my mom why she is neglecting this veg. Maybe we'll get them for Christmas (We're originally from one of the Shires, but the exact location escapes me at the moment. It's about 4 generations back).
Yeah, I just don't understand why you'd want marshmallows in a main course situation. Dessert? Go crazy! But not with your meal!
That sounds really yummy! And gluten free pies! I have to eat sugar-free, lactose-free, soy-free and wheat-free, so a gluten-free pie appeals immensely.
That is awesome!
....why? To preserve it for future generations? To make it wobbly?
I think we've always had the plain veggies because the turkey/stuffing/gravy is so rich, you don't want anymore richness. Plus as my parents have gotten older, we've had to dial down on the rich food because they can't handle it. So the stuffing is not as rich and we rarely have gravy. I think my brother's the only…
OMG. My mother used to make Yorkshire pudding for company every year during the holidays. And every year it was burnt or undercooked or some other sort of mess. It was sort of like bringing out the cake at a birthday party except it was bringing out the pan with the Yorkshire disaster in it.
