Fuck you AV Club. This migration was awful. To say that the Kinja comments functionality leaves a little to be desired would be like saying that the Challenger space shuttle launch went a ‘little’ bit wrong.

And oh joy, clicking through ‘Load More Comments’ for another 500 times to get where I was.

As an also long-term Kinja user, albeit one whose account got wiped out by this process, I can assure you that it’s at least as bad as everyone fears, probably worse.

I think having to click load every 4 posts is going to kill this for me.

As near as I can tell, the process wiped out my old Kinja account, even though I clicked on the merge accounts thing. Which means I am no longer out of the grays on any of the other sites. Which means this process has pissed me off even more than I thought it would.

It’s not a “fear” though, it’s a reality we are living in right now. The reality of a terrible comment system and quite probably the death of this site.

Load more comments. Load more comments. Load more comments. Load more comments. Boy, this is fucking fun, huh?

Is there a setting where I can load more than, like, five comments at a time? It’s pretty annoying to be constantly hitting the more comments button.

This is not in any way an improvement... I mean... I know y’all have to say that. You have jobs you’d like to keep.
