We could be in the deepest economic depression in history and, as long as Trump tweets out that the US economy is doing the best ever, a good 45% of Americans would believe it. And, Fox News will parrot that that talking point and evidence to the otherwise is just liberal fake news trying to make Trump look bad.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist (there’s a lot of not being a conspiracy theorist, but....going around), but the fact that this dude is in the black and constantly one of the first posters despite writing three or four vile paragraphs looks...kind of fishy.

Most political nicknames are dumb. But it makes a good soundbite, and it’s stuck, so it’d be political malpractice to abandon it while it still has use.

And if Dems win in 2020, everyone will blame them, even though the economy is usually due to the previous term’s president. Obama is why we improved now. Next term, Trump will be why we crashed again.

Weird. It’s almost like the human brain deteriorates over time and someone in their 70s isn’t the best candidate for the most stressful job in the world.

As usual, it’s not Trump that’s the most offensive to me, it’s the people around him. We know Trump is a narcissistic sociopath. We’ve known that for decades. Of course he’s smiling in this environment: he wasn’t shot and there are cameras pointed at him, so obviously he’s happy.

Tbh I’m not terribly optimistic that they’ll put two and two together come election day and not vote GOP again. Right wingers have a seemingly bottomless capacity for self-delusion.

Good. More than any other single group, farmers, and their “middle America values,” are responsible for putting that piece of shit into office.

Ugh holy shit he’s disgusting. I’d normally have much more to say, but I’m just burnt out on this whole cycle of him saying something appalling and then not being taken to task for it in a way that’s meaningful. There are never any consequences and so shit is just going to continue to get worse. It’s endless.
