Maybe it’s “British” ...
I’m from California (over 45 years) and I never say “the” before a freeway number. It sounds very dumb. But then, I’m from Northern California, not LA.
Any time I saw a pass with DRS, I would just shrug and say, “Oh, it’s a DRS pass.” Definitely cheapened the sport.
Not a bitter Hamilton fan. A fan of consistent rulings, especially those that follow the organization’s own regulations.
Realizing that this race was like a Nascar “green/white/checkered” was enough for us to consider that it jumped the shark.
I sweat a lot. Even in 20 degree weather working in my shop. I wear one to keep the sweat from dripping down my face.
Perfect!
Here, you can read up on Raph’s bug. I can’t get the link to show up (Kinja!), but you can search for it.
2006 Shelby GT-H. Had it for 10 days in California when I returned after moving away. Used it on the central coast, based in Monterey. Lots of fun, especially in the tunnel in Monterey. Got pulled over by a cop who just wanted to check it out (okay, I was “using its capabilities”, but no ticket!) and talk.
Never dealt with them until I moved to Ohio. Hate them! I try to catch them in a small piece of paper and send them to a watery grave. If you catch them carefully, then just close the paper over them with no squishing, you can usually get away without stink. God, they are gross!
Had a ‘74. Loved that car.
I hardly ever saw these in California. I don’t know why, but when I moved to Ohio in 2005, they were all over the place. Same with the Explorer Sport Trac, that four-door, extremely short bed pickup thing.
Unless you forget to have the tires ready, then Daniel Ricciardo loses ...
I like how Jean Todt isn’t considering the stupid rules that allow 2 laps to count as a “race”, and awarding half-points at that point. Basically, the “race” was qualifying, and drivers/constructors were awarded half race points based solely on their qualifying. No race there in my book!
That wasn’t an LTD, it was a POS!
It was the second shoe being lost that clinched it for me.
Fancy expensive electric-powered moving vents. I prefer the “naturally” rotating vents:
As Roger Bennett said in his newsletter, The Raven,
Why, with 35 years of experience, is Zach Winfield participating in this program for recent graduates?
When I was in high school, an underage cheerleader’s parents gave her a brand new Corvette, and, from what I heard, paid for her boyfriend’s insurance to drive it.
