Something to do with having a right to know about your genetic heritage.

The law was changed again a few years ago:

In the UK it's now the opposite: children born through sperm donation can track down their father once they've turned 18. Not many men donate sperm any more.

If Martin believed Zimmerman to be a threat, isn't his probably violent response justified under the stand your ground law?

I'm pretty sure the response of everybody on here about the VRA decision was "THIS IS BULLSHIT."

"I was only following orders."

I can't read an article that has the "word" "addicting" twice in the first two sentences. Ugly ugly ugly. Addictive is a lot better.

I was wondering if someone else would notice that. Generally I take a prescriptivist attitude for most things but it always seems a bit racist to me when people decide that white people English is real English. Variations aren't necessarily errors.

"“And, frankly, let’s make all consensual adult behaviors legal."

It's hard to be pleased about this because it's a painful reminder of how shit everyone else in the country has it.

From "Caught, can we get a witness?":

Hymen restoration surgery is also for women who have broken them doing nonsexual things like horse-riding or cycling or whatever but are marrying someone who is ludicrously dense and expects a hymen. It's not just to try and pretend the woman hasn't already had PinV sex. Still horrible and dumb, I'm just clarifying.

Why? I don't see a (consistent) way to accept gay marriage while rejecting polygamy.

"Matt: Are you a racist?

Paula: No, I am not."

The Sun has accurately predicted/decided every general election since 1979. Mentally deficient their readers may be, but it is Britain's most popular daily newspaper.

It is just inaccurate to say that "most of the Middle East has been under the thumb of political parties that suppress political Islam for the last three decades." Turkey was secular and a few other countries suppressed political Islam (out of self-interest more than anything else) but the majority of the Middle-East

I like how Bachmann glosses over all the times in the Bible when marriage is defined as between "a man and some women".

Berlusconi was sentenced to one year in prison in March this year for a separate crime, and four years last October for yet another. I'll believe this is a jail sentence when I actually see pictures of him in prison. Italy's legal system gives itself some really bad press with this guy. It seems like a bit of a joke.

The attractiveness thing is an issue but I can see why people who are at the tail end of a 9 hour shift might not like people who go around being mean.
