It feels weird that it's still this huge thing in the States but every country in Europe (except for Belarus) has abolished it. Even Russia (officially; I still wouldn't want to piss off Putin).

I always thought it was a relative motion thing. Like, condoms are static respective to the penis but not the woman. This seems like it'd be the other way round (and potentially be less enjoyable for the woman). But I'm speculating because I've never used one.

I'm not convinced most people in the UK know that it has a meaning other than "that person I really don't like". It gets used here a lot and nobody seems to be interested in whether or not it's a sexist word.

Yeah, I understand that. It just seems odd that someone can admit that the current Republican party has serious problems and is now basically lost as a party of good sense, but not realise that it clearly started under Reagan. Or at least he should shoulder much of the blame.

I think it's indicative that even the allegedly sensible wing of the party decides to include Reagan over say, Abraham Lincoln. Reagan's got a significant part of the blame for the Republican party being the state that it's in today

I'm not entirely convinced. Gordon Ramsay once served a horse dish at one of his restaurants and someone dumped a ton of horse shit on the pavement outside.

It's about as close as they're ever likely to get I suppose.

Eh, I thought it was great.

It's higher on rotten tomatoes but lower on imdb. I don't see it personally. A solid but unspectacular film. If it hadn't been about the glorious CIA to the rescue, nobody would've cared.

Yeah, seeing bloodstains on the mat doesn't really make it look all that safe. But I suppose if MMA fighters don't all end up brain-damaged, it's probably better in the long run.

I'm not pretending to be an expert, I've only watched a handful of fights; I just saw a couple where the guy was sitting on someone's chest and punching them in the head and I wasn't comfortable with it. I thought the fight was pretty much over a few seconds and several punches before the ref did but I concede that I

I've seen three of the Best picture nominees (Life of Pi, Django Unchained, and Argo) and Argo was definitely the worst of the three. It was still a good film but hardly the best film that came out last year. The Academy really does like handing its critics ammunition.

I meant when one fighter clearly has the upper hand and is whaling on the other, not if one of the fighters is pretty dazed. In the fights that I've seen (more boxing than UFC), boxing referees tend to intervene more. I find it a bit more objectionable to watch, although I'm aware getting repeatedly punched in the

I've never really liked watching UFC because I feel like the loser has to be beaten up too much before the referee steps in. In boxing they're a lot quicker to stop the fight if one fighter is getting their shit wrecked.

Yay, an internet discussion that reaches some kind of reasonable, mature resolution; I agree with everything you just said.

Her point is clearly that this sex isn't all fake. CLEARLY. Like, it's not even slightly ambiguous about what she think differentiates her porn from the mainstream. You've just restated your opinion as fact with no supporting evidence, with regards to the authenticity.

Because she might have heard that there was porn that doesn't cause all those? If anyone, male or female, chooses to ignore porn, fine. I agree that it's ok. But I think if people do want to watch porn, it shouldn't be the shit that mainstream porn studios seem to churn out, and maybe stuff that considers women to be

Subtle. I wasn't taking issue with criticism in an abstract sense but the specific criticism you used.

I agree. Haters gonna hate. There are plenty of legit arguments against the porn industry (and even against this article) but a lot of them seem to be from people who've not read the article. And are really rude.
