That's a perfectly valid opinion with a perfectly valid justification, and in fact, is the only thing the debate should be framed around. My only point before was that your reasoning was crappy insofar as "if you don't like it, don't do it" completely ignores the key aspect of the issue.

FGM is in a whole other category of awfulness. I disagree with male circumcision, and whilst there are obvious parallels, the severity of FGM makes it hard to compare the two.
