I initially loved the Ghost Pepper Grillers, but wasn’t too keen on their second album.

‘... which tallies 41 (yes, 41!) executive producers (not counting four producers and seven other co-producers)‘. Check out some of those cheapo direct-to-DVD / cable Bruce Willis offerings of recent years. Some of those have in excess of sixty producers’ of various flavours. Little more than glorified crowdfunding.

That sounds like a song title from a forgotten musical.

Well, this is a mixed blessing, a terrific article on a truly brilliant piece of TV, and some smart observations on the added footage which I never noticed before, but it’s your last piece!

That was probably Two-Minute Warning, an effective little thriller, which I quite like. Cassavettes was very honest that he made films such as this, and horror pics such as Incubus and The Fury, simply to finance his own movies, but even so he never phoned it in, and even playing a good guy was fascinatingly

Those who have missed the body-horror for which Cronenberg is synonymous should check out his little lad Brandon’s work. His debut, Antiviral, was promising but his second, Possessor, is stunning, in a number of ways, and had you just been shown a few minutes without any indication of who was the director you would say

They’ve seen Kojak and are worried their kids’ hair will fall out.

I would have loved to have seen it in that format but it only screened near me in standard 3D, and even then only for a week.

And a terrific 1947 Humphrey Bogart / Lisabeth Scott film noir.
