    A simple Excel calc shows that if I assume that the crash rate is understated (and I think you’ve got a point - it probably is), and apply a 20-fold multiplier (which I used just as a nice big number - it’s probably way too high, and the actual crash numbers are below that 20x number), we end up with a crash rate of 0.

    IIRC, the yellow speed limit signs (posted on curves and off/on ramps) aren’t the same as the white ones, and only the white signs are enforced speed limits - the yellow signs are more a suggestion (which I agree, are unrealistically-conservative in ideal conditions)
