This was a great read. Thanks for sharing!

Can't speak of the 2nd Gen, but the first Gen buttons (particularly on the radio) were freaking gross.

Probably the only good bits were the steering wheel and shifter (manual) which were shared with the Celica. The buttons were bubbly GM nastiness though.

I do have to say that the GM angle is probably why I never could pull the trigger to buy a Matrix XRS (1st Gen with the Celica GTS/Lotus Elise 2zz-ge): it was obvious Toyota handled the engineering and GM did the interior - ugly, cheap-looking and cheap-feeling switch gear and surfaces couldn't overcome the allure of

I almost bought a GC (wanted one for a long time) but by the time I was ready, the BRZ/86 were out - so I got one of those instead.

    Remember the Kia Stinger GT4?

Maybe Swedish design just happens to be more human-friendly.

If your windows are hesitating to roll up, dab some shin etsu grease (you can buy a tube from Honda) onto the window seals, and it might do the trick (it's worked for me a few times when my passenger window was slow/struggling to roll up)

Nonetheless, I like where you were going with this!

Thought of this, but the lack of sunroof seems to be a dealbreaker

Oooh... so like that Black Mirror episode “USS Callister”?

Yeah, I’m no Nissan fanboy, but I don’t get the hate for how VQs sound...

I’m sure this will be faster than the Tesla Roadster (to market, at least)

Impossible: Lexus RX doesn’t have any flavour at all.

You say this, but you’ll regret not having a fridge that makes a new batch of ice in less than 30 seconds when you’re craving that cocktail...

Looks like the crazies have started...

It could only be more perfect if “Careless Whisper” starts blaring in the background

Ah, I see... Thanks, sounds like the "dodgy" experiences weren't down to the Neon.

Damn, I can only sell one kidney...

Also, shout out to the Neon for featuring TWICE on this list, even while having just one slide dedicated to it (from Toobs-n-stuff)
