Yeah, a lot of stuff from earlier games was missing. But they put a lot of new stuff in this game as well. A whole lot. And the game got some serious additional content, like artwork and diving, over the last year.

As much as I understand there is no new content and there is a content imbalance between New Horizons and previous entries, I still check on my island most days. I dont really change anything, but it's still comforting.

I did have some fun, but it felt more like an off-brand Fallout inspired try hard. That’s being reductive, but it really felt like an alt universe future Fallout to me, but not as clever or fun. There were some good characters, but the game fell flat pretty hard in the back half. Like all the cool people and

This is the thing. It’s not a good game! Forget all the bugs, even if it had nothing “wrong” with it, it’s still not a good game!

When a game gets removed from Game Pass, it doesn’t cease to be for sale. You actually get at least a few weeks heads up, and can use those last few weeks to buy the game to own at a 10% discount. You can mix both forms of playing games, and many do to great effect. Nothing stops you from buying the game to own after

Call me old fashioned, but I like owning my games. I can’t deny how appealing Game Pass is, I’d probably be using it if I still played my xbox just for those games that I always wanted to try but didn’t want to spend full price on.

Eventually though, games get removed. I’m sure it’s a case by case basis and I’m

Okay, now write this same article about Sony releasing Horizon, God of War, Last of Us, and the many other exclusives.

I think there’s a lot more to what makes something a “Left 4 Dead”-like than just 1st person co-op vs lots of enemies and bosses (by that logic, Destiny is also Left 4 Dead, Outriders is 3rd person Left 4 Dead, etc)

Yeah, even if it’s not 100% ‘immersive sim’ (for whatever that actually means), Arkane’s design work is so strong I’m excited for their take on a co-op experience. I’d love to share some of my love for their games with my co-op buddies, who generally play far fewer single player games than I do (and thus haven’t ever

I think World War Z was better then middling, it was a very solid, basically third person Left 4 Dead clone.

I’m happy for more co-op games styled like this. As I’ve gotten older my desire to play competitive with friends has fallen to the wayside and I like to play cooperatively.

Based on Arkane’s previous games, I’m gonna guess that Redfall is gonna have more in common with Dishonored or Prey than it does with Left 4 Dead. I really hope it does.

Somewhere towards the end of Sims 2, it became apparent that there was real money in releasing barebones entry titles, and selling continual packs for years before moving into the next series of barebones titles.

From what I’m seeing, successor may be a better descriptor than competitor. That said, I’ve never really played too much Sims, so my opinion power is somewhere near the bottom here. I am interested in playing this though.

It was a full day before I even realized there was anything wrong with that demo. In retrospect, and especially after seeing comparisons like this one, I get it - but after the reveal last year I was just excited and thought it looked great, and the first bits that came out about it were similar, at least in the

it’s easy to see how a separate mode like this [bots] could be helpful in getting newcomers up to speed.

...Because a lot of people prefer to game on consoles rather than PC?

If only there was a solution!

What you just described is Dragon Age Origins. If you haven’t played that before, you should sometime!

Sure, they were put in to pad the game. But those beautiful skyboxes, the vastness of the terrain, and the text descriptions and stories of worlds you investigate add so much life to the game’s world building. Also, when considering the hardware limitations of the time, the terrain could be a lot worse. They at least
