All of this and it is honestly just a game.

I’m inclined to agree with the reviewer/embargo sellout take.

Doubt it. If you need an example: Respawn made a third person Star Wars game after only making first person shooters.

I mean sure but Uncharted also kind of nailed it. I don’t need Uncharted but with official Indiana Jones licensing. But I’m just cynically assuming some Disney high up saw Uncharted and thought “Hey thats basically Indiana Jones and it sells super well, lets do that but with Indiana Jones and it will sell even better”

Yeah Duncan Jones’ post Moon movies have been mixed. But he’s always trying something that is unique enough that I’m always willing to give him a chance. He also seems like a nice guy who is pretty humble, which kind of makes me forgiving of his movies flaws and more willing to give his future projects a chance.

I mean pitfall - tomb raider - uncharted are all mechanically very different and each one a result of the technology of the time. Tomb Raider 2013 and its sequels didn’t really do anything mechanically different from Uncharted.

Yeah I remember hearing that they did their best to turn it into another cop show and I just couldn’t take it.

I’m pretty sure they say Snowpiercer more times in that trailer than they ever did in the movie.

You know I read this whole article with a huge dose of cynicism. We’ve had Uncharted for years why do we need an Indiana Jones game. But that would be a great idea.

I know everyone is obsessed with explanations and macguffins that connect stories, but I really feel like the X-men can just show up without any explanation or world changing event that creates mutants.

Disney plus would be great for it. 10 episodes with an overarching story, some monster of the week/stand alone episodes, and week to week relationship drama.

I was in high school when the MCU really got going and the first three phases I could have told you when every project is coming out and who is the lead creatives on it.

Not only that but because of this the mission design is really bland. (15 hours in) I’ve never felt like the character build I made has accomplished anything that another character build couldn’t have. The best example being doors that require strength to get through are often 4 steps away from doors that require

If memory serves correctly, the deep roads are difficult. Glad it didn’t discourage you from playing! Jealous you get to experience Origins for the first time. Plenty about it that didn’t age well but I still think Origins has more meaningful choice with lasting consequences than most other mainstream RPGs. There are

I know we don’t know all the facts, but it’s crazy to me that so many people think he is doing this for fame. When has this type of thing ever propelled an accuser to fame and riches? There is no way, when he started this, he didn’t think it was probably going to be career suicide.

Hopefully the advantage of having so many shows on Disney plus is that the creators get to branch out on what kind of shows they are. I also get the feeling that the Ashoka show is where Favreau will let Filoni go really wild.

Yeah I think the only real competition Microsoft will face is something from Sony. Game Pass is super varied which keeps it great but with like EA or Ubisoft you’ve got sequels and expansions making up a bulk of the library.

I do have a hard time seeing any of the other Disney plus shows being as big a hit as Mando. (Not that they will fail)

I ‘nominate’ Rick Famuyiwa. His Mando episodes “The Child”, “The Prisoner”, and “The Believer” are some of the strongest episode of the show. Great character work and edge of your seat action. His episodes never depend on fan service, lore dumps, or plot McGuffins to keep you interested.

Just like you said, Lucasfilm and Disney in general is not afraid to announce when they have parted ways with a creative. If his trilogy was completely off the table we would officially know by now.
