Think about it: what does Rey like to do in her free time? What kind of music does Rey listen to? Does Rey like men or women, or Wookies, or whatever? In a social group, is Rey the instigator, or the person who just follows along?

Yeah, it has a very season 1 agent of shield feel. Sure everything in the movies affected the show but the show never really affected the movies.

Also, there were rumors that Florence Pugh is playing a really important MCU franchise character and the role was heavily sought after. So despite the fact that Scarlett is the main character, it sounds like they are setting Florence Pugh up as some sort of successor to Black Widow.

I understand if some people think this because of 10 years-ish people were expecting a story that really changed the status quo ala MCU.
