First of all, Austin is a nice town, but don’t forget that it is, in fact, full of Texans. That means you will see guns, extremely aggressive drivers, and right-wing whackos. Lots of frat boys too. Lots. That said, it’s still a lot of fun, especially if you like live music.

Hi - I just want to say that I’m a proud atheist in AA. I would strongly suggest giving it a try. Sit in on a meeting. If you don’t like it, try a different one. Don’t let the naysayers here turn you off on it. Find someone there you identify with and talk to them. The price is right.
I look at it a little differently. Instead of calling it “alcoholism” think of it as being allergic to alcohol. There’s no stigma in that. If, once you start drinking, you can’t control the amount you drink, then you have a condition.

I was in downtown PA yesterday and saw 2 parked as we were walking to lunch. Otherwise, I live and work in the west San Jose area. They’re not hard to spot. My delivery date is a couple of months away, so I’m always eagle-eyeing during my commute.

Huh? Black Mirror isn’t a documentary. It’s fiction. Why is everyone trying to squeeze it into a little box. It’s not meant to be reality. It is fantasy.
