When Clinton used the term ‘deplorables’ she was quite clearly and distinctly referring to the actual nazis in Trumps base, not the whole base. The fact that so many republicans self identify as deplorables is both ridiculous and not at all surprising.

Ghandi would all but certainly have #metoo accusers coming out against him if they and him were still alive, given his propensity to sleep in the same bed with young girls.

One of the show’s problems is that Ivar is the only one of Ragnar’s sons who is halfway interesting- Ubbe and Hvitserk are bland, and even Bjorn isn’t boring outside of battle.

I mean, ‘fistfight with the pope’ is just an objectively hilarious phrase.

It may not have made a lot of sense, but you have to admit, at least in the abstract, ‘fistfight with the pope’ is a pretty funny final battle.

Compared to everything else this is so trivial as not to matter at all, but like half of my winter clothes are MSU branded, and I can’t even think to wear that shit until everyone involved in this catastrophe are gone.

I know it really shouldn’t factor in, but it doesn’t even seem possible that Villeneuve could make Arrival in 2016 and turn around and make BR2049 in just a year. They are both such huge, beautiful looking films that it doesn’t seem possible that you could make either in just one year, much less two in two years.

I honestly thought he died like 10 years ago.

Sure, we’re probably quite a ways off from full automation, but 50-75% automation is closer than you think, and there won’t be nearly enough new jobs for to fill that void.

But an ever-decreasing amount of them. Even ignoring the medium to high skilled jobs that can be easily automated, there are simply far,far more unskilled laborers than there are openings for higher skill jobs. You can’t just say more automation = more automation related jobs either, because it’s quite obviously not a

Everyone here keeps talking about low skill jobs being eliminated by automation, but it’s not going to be just low skill jobs, it’s going to be all jobs. Anyone who has ever worked in an office environment knows how easily their job can be replaced by even a semi-sophisticated algorithm, because 95% of office work is

I think you’re completely correct on this- both Spec Ops and Last of Us are extremely dark, depressing games, but mechanically they are still fun to play, which is perhaps a limitation the video games intrinsically have.

For someone who says they don’t want to die on this hill, you’re sure getting pretty angry and defensive...

I think my favorite line is right at the beginning when they are having the flat meeting.

I like J.J. Redick more now knowing that he is a Kyrie Irving style wackadoo that doesn’t believe in dinosaurs. It’s atleast more interesting than the DMB-listening fratbro I assumed he was.

More of an oxymoron, really.

Yeah, or like a soap opera.

I know, right- Holdo and Rose just sat around talking about third-wave feminism and their periods.

Ackbar, like a lot of fan favorite minor Star Wars characters, has no depth, and that’s fine!

I wish I had ownership of a memory erasing device to make me forget I ever heard any of DMB’s god-awful, marblemouthed, hackysack-soundtrack songs
