We have a Ford Transit that this already happened to. $3.00 and about 10 minutes to fix it.

The Ford EcoSport is also at risk of rolling away, but are not included in the recall because the people who own them are kind of hoping they will roll away and never be seen again.
This is a friendly reminder from your local office of the Save The Manuals Public Outreach Division that parking brakes exist and are generally good practice to employ regardless of transmission type.
You just explained a situation where people are ignoring the zipper merge. The reason that 98% of people are in one lane is because they are not zipper merging. They end the lane in a certain spot for a reason. If they wanted everyone to merge early, then they would end the lane earlier. If everyone stayed in their…
I love the look and features of the Tacoma, but the seating area just isn’t quite right. I am also 5'10", but I struggle to find room for my head and shoulders at my 90° sitting preference. I’m not certain if I need a lower seat, thinner center console, or what change would make it work. I’ve spent years behind the…
Right? When I last sold cars, the only $80k+ vehicle I sold was a Hellcat Redeye Widebody Charger with all the fixins, and it got 13 mpg combined. Granted, it also had nearly twice the horsepower, but I wouldn’t have recommended taking it off road.
Unless you’ve heavily modified your GX to go off-road, that’s still not a great comparison.
It’s still pretty bad. I’ve been averaging 19mpg in my GX460, and averaged 13-14mpg towing a trailer + race car behind me this last weekend. The GX is also absolutely not a new truck - they’re still in the same generation that started in 2008 and it’s a pretty old-school vehicle to begin with.
When I compare it to my Saab, it doesn’t seem too bad.
Ironically our waning international influence could potentially be a large net positive in the future. Much of America’s success in the past 60 years has been based around the pursuit of America leading the world in democratic rule.
That’s not how societal growth happens. There was no “plan”, just like there is no plan for how economies will work 100 years from now. ‘
“support from HR in finding a new job”
As someone who’s burnt out at work, is it bad I always feel a twinge of jealously when I read about layoffs with cushy severance? I’d love a 3 month sabbatical with support from HR in finding a new job...
We had a similar experience in 2005 when I was moonlighting as a pro-wrestling referee. Since I was one of the only folks living locally to the promoter, I usually ended up driving a U-Haul from our storage facility to the event venue nearby.
Oh man! I totally drove something similar in 2002. At that time my daily was a 2002 Saturn SL 5 speed. It was super easy to drive, but I helped a friend move in winter in Nebraska. Long story short, I drove it like my Saturn and unintentionally ended up drifting it at a left-hand turn after shifting from 2d to 3d (1st…
Rode with my Dad across country in one of these in 1990. From NYC to Riverside, CA. With no AC and only an AM radio while pulling our 88 Sentra behind us.
I’m concerned about the low fuel economy of my car, I’d like to spend $60,000 to save money.
This is the car your empty nester aunt and uncle bought to raise a couple of eyebrows Sunday morning at church.
If I’m going to buy a Grand National, it won’t be a one off factory car with a dress up kit attached to it. It will be a real turbo car that’s long, heavy and rear wheel drive just like God intended.
It sounds crazy out of context, but that’s the case for so many contractors and tradesman. Yeah, a Sprinter is more expensive, so that’s part of it. But your average “Keep jobs in America” unionized plumber/electrician/contractor isn’t gonna be caught dead driving around a Mercedes van even though a high-roof van…
