To prevent rear wheel curb rash when parallel parking.

I guess I have never worked anywhere that any bonus I received wasn’t entirely unexpected.

I think the oil filter was defective on the Corvette, causing the engine to break.

Well, GTIs are pretty much one of a few. If you want a practical, sporty, quick vehicle with a manual transmission that is not an suv...they are in a small group of cars to choose from. Some people are tall and slender and don’t fit in some competitors. True, the GTI tends to require attention more than the typical

Michelin Defender LTX M/S² or some derivative tires in the stock size? Or stock size some other tires? Or 37s? Ride height?

The peanut gallery here is certainly the best! And Kinja’s not happy on mobile. But it’s frustrating enough that I continue coming back, haha.

Though, to be fair, have you tried to find a new manual transmission car in the past 5 years? I don’t recall seeing one outside of the occasional Mustang, FRS, Miata, or GTI on a dealer’s lot in the past 5 years. At least the probably 30 or so where I’ve stopped for a look. I literally never once saw a manual

I'm going to add the Alfa rims to the acceptable list.

It’s also sort of like they Fieroed this...before it existed.

I’m hoping they at least add a few knobs for the interface. In its current iteration, it makes MyFordTouch 1.0 seem like the ergonomic choice.

I was thinking it would be more of an overflow bunk than the preferred place to sleep. I could manage with a screen in decent weather. It would be easier than setting up a tent.

I could manage it as an alternative to tent sleeping with a proper screen in place. Not with the side door closed though!

The only place they know to go is to cut more taxes.

I think the point of impact was nearly as ideal as possible for both drivers. Hits the side of the BMW with the upper part of the engine so it would fling off / out away from the driver, and has a 50% offset for both. I think the Tahoe sitting still stands in as a nice deformable barrier, it might have rolled straight

But, CVT. *Bad Subaru, bad!**

I admire your pioneering, risk taking attitude, but I would not get my hopes up lol.

The 113 is better than the 888 in most ways aside from general oil consumption. The 113 will need topoffs. The 888 does not necessarily need oil topoffs.

DSG service is not very difficult. You do have to remove the air filter assembly and battery...and use Carista to check the transmission temperature. But it’s a $100-110 diy. Plus whatever you have to pay for the “ plug with hole and pipe connected to the cap with hole that connects to the bottle’ DSG fluid fill kit.

The initial interior quality of the early to mid aughts VW lineup was amazing. But they really have all kind of melted by now, at least in my climate. And they were purchased by people who thought they would cost the same as a Toyota to keep on the road for 20 years. So the aging interior bits tend to be not replaced,

Ohh, I did not know! Thanks for the input!
