Honestly, it’s nature’s most efficient, highly effective recycling system.

Can you just run the mirror defroster on the way home (usually tied to the rear defrost except for VWAG with separate switches, maybe BMW too) and prevent it from freezing?

I live in Charlotte and I've seen one Rivian and zero Mavericks.

Thank you for the non stinky exhaust 🙂

Manufacturer tunes must factor in consistent driveability, exhaust emissions, emission system longevity, and powertrain reliability. Tunes only need to factor one of those.

Did you verify the mpg computer calculations?

That would not necessarily be far from what Mini recommended during some years, 15,000 miles was where it started. The algorithm was allowed to stretch it to 20k miles iirc.

I live in a good neighborhood and I forgot to lock my car door and my car was burgled. Stole the ashtray of coins and a roll of quarters! All the coins. And ransacked my car. Oh well.

This. Factory installed off grid power. If they install some sort of inverter driven hvac...and you can get 5 days of ac out of a full charge, they'll have a winner for sure.

Yeah the 300M was a great car. The ride is unbelievably soft, but the car handles almost neutrally, and can be slid around, with the slightest hint of oversteer, at will. I loved my ‘98 Intrepid, even though it was nearly always broken.

Got it. Thanks for the info. It's unfortunate that the majority of the system can't be engineered to be reasonably accessible (not too accessible --- cat theft is real here lol), and easier to just do a core swap or something like that.

Glad I could help :-)

I love the 7.3 (and 5.9 Cummins, and the original Duramax) but cheese and rice do I hate having to drive behind one of the pre-emissions engines.

The Michelin LTX M/S and LTX M/S² are fantastic in snow in the ‘98 ML320 I’ve used them on. I don’t know if their replacement is equally capable or not.

It was done in good humor at least. I bet they're laughing about it by now.

Yeah, they look a whole lot cooler with their proper dustbuster front end!

Key word is able to work on it on your own, parts costs are not usually any more than they’d be on a Jetta...but you will be cursing it about one weekend per year.

I thought it was just a moire wave effect of some weird pearlcoat! But it does look cool.

I’m going out on a limb here, but provided these cosmetically challenged Bronco hardtops don’t leak, it’s the best case scenario for a launch vehicle flaw. It’s designed to be easily removed, and easily installed. Once they sort the issue, it will be a relatively simple fix to swap it out under campaign.

If they were already in there, won’t the chopper blades take care of their disposal?
