I’m an NC resident...and I guess I never put the two together. But his cost cutting did help with reducing the lane ending warnings. They also contributed to myself getting caught lost, in the middle of nowhere, at least three times, with no CDMA wireless service, because they wouldn’t pay for NCDOT to put up any

And don’t forget SC, NC, and VA’s infatuation with the warning that the left or right lane is closing or ends in 4 miles. It just causes so much more gridlock and panic than if they’d just say the lane ends in 1500 ft or whatever.

If I could have ever gotten over the very square wheelwells, I would have thought the 08-18s were overall very good looking trucks. (Just makes me think of Canadian cars on South Park.) I thought I’d like the newer ones because of their rounded wheelwells, but I haven't seen one yet that made me wish I could buy it.

Love King Tangerine! That’s a perfect compromise between The Annoying Orange that lately I’ve been calling him, and the Supreme Leader that I think he wishes to be.

This. And sadly, the only choice is for them to vote Democrat for president, even if they prefer the 3rd or 4th party for legitimate reasons. (I’m a pretty staunch Democrat, but I wish a 3rd party could be a viable option.)

I call him "The Annoying Orange"

This. Why I wanted my folks to get the ~1995 Bluebird Wanderlodge I found locally (it’s a factory school bus converted rv and this one had a DD 8v92TT) instead of the 2003 Winnebago Journey they bought (with a puny 5.9 Cummins). They couldn’t stand the idea of not having sliders (They just need to lose weight).

This. Specific trims and option packs only. I can totally understand the manufacturers making it so the dealers can only order one trim package for the manual cars. I simply can’t comprehend why Hyundai will not allow a paying customer to special order a Genesis G70 2.0t manual exactly as they want it (within the

The brakes on the Jetta are smaller than those on the GLI, so they actually will probably wear out faster. The folks I know who had MK5 Jettas usually needed rear brakes every 50k and fronts every 80k. I got 80k out of the original rears and 125k out of the original front pads and rotors on my MK5 GTI. The tires would

The unfortunate truth is the MK7 Jetta and GLI are so hideous, no one would steal them even if they were an automatic or DSG.

I just go up to them and ask them if they’ve heard of the cart monster. You know the cart monster is going to scratch your car next time you go grocery shopping if you don’t put that cart back! Something like that. I assume they think I’m insane and eventually relent and put it back. It’s almost always gotten a smile

I vote 1.8t swap.

No, you never need to change them. They don’t fail if they’re taken care of. (Meaning usually driving gently until warmed up, change the oil on time and top it up if needed with some Euro oil.)

But perhaps one who knows how to not wear a clutch out will not need to replace one. I don’t know why you would need to ever replace a good clutch unless you drop it, or ride it. I added 120k miles to my Jetta that supposedly needed a new clutch when I got it with 60k without needing to change it out.

The RS4 version of the 4.2 doesn’t seem to suffer from the timing chain problem of the non RS4 version.

Wouldn’t a fan for the CaC be effective for gridlock? It seems like a top mount would be highly ineffective in traffic in the middle of the summer above 100°F, and a fan would keep the intake temperature reasonable until you are moving. On my car, with a sandwiched CaC, I see roughly 120° intake temps max in 100°

Just erase your phone from memory and factory reset the infotainment system after that and you will have nothing to worry about. My standard practice for loaners or rentals.

Basically do what GM used to do in the early 2000s (the headlights were automatic regardless of the switch setting, period), plus add lights on with wipers. They could also set it up to the lights will not turn off in the drive cycle if the lights turn on at any time you are traveling above 10mph or something.

I think it would be great if they could figure out how to remove the vertical bulk above the rear wheels that make them look tiny like a 1996 Honda Civic’s wheels (the same problem exists on the XTS and to a lesser degree on the CT6. The rest is fine. I can’t believe Cadillac is still keeping with their design

Maybe they're using the German rating system now? (Pretty close to the wheel hp instead of crank hp.)
