Nibbles, I believe that’s the NHTSA explaining all the features of AutoPilot separately, vs saying it wasn’t disengaged.

That’s a bit unfair, at least at this point. There is discussion that the truck pulled out when it wasn’t clear and also with the sun, the driver much like the camera may not have seen the truck.
I do enjoy shifting myself, but given how SMG/Dual Clutch transmissions are almost universally faster and often have better MPG, this is almost like people hating on turbos even when the sound is good and lag minimal. Driving a manual now to me seems like more nostalgia than an actual performance benefit.
Although Season 2 of Top Gear will be good as a Car Show with car nuts like Chris Haris, Matt, Sabine, maybe a F1 driver, Rory, etc. This excels as pure entertainment that is based around cars, haha. Just brilliant!
Ya I love the idea of air suspension but until they design a system that can last as long or longer than a regular one I'm gonna stay away!
I think that may be mad AND utter genius. Especially with touches like the Jack O Lantern differential, etc.
You could get a reputable “bumper to bumper” warranty and still be right around 30k- so that’s not bad! Assuming a clean CarFax report- I’d take it in a heartbeat if I didn't already have 2 cars.
So it seems reliable in the forest- fair enough. And more reliable the more road trips you take it on.
First casualty of a vehicle to Pokémon Go. Hope it’s not a sign of more to come.
The Ferrari would certainly make the list if it was one of top track cars, or top cars to drive fast, but as a all around car, or a daily driver, or even a 2nd car— unless it’s a much newer GT type, they have lots of quirks (as anything extremely focused would).
So when people speculated Ferrari would expand their product line, and build a SUV/truck type vehicle, maybe this is the precursor to that, haha!
But I think even Steve knew (or learned) to tone it down a bit and keep his personal opinions somewhat to himself. I think the worst thing he said as CEO was “you’re hiding it wrong” which was attributed to him but I’m not even sure he said it in those words.
Elon could be a great guy- but as a CEO of a publicly traded company sometimes his responses sometimes perplex me. It is a very fine line between your personal twitter and being a company representative.
I hope they threw in GAP insurance on those—haha. I can’t imagine how much upside down that’d get you not paying for a year, even if you do have 0% interest.
I also love the new car smell, etc— but a low miles late model CPO type car still will look and drive new and usually have at least 4/50 warranty left with the extension. Every CPO I bought I’ve loved and they’ve been pretty problem free.
That’s interesting. That said I feel like most people do finance for 6 years, and if you’re patient many companies do 0% interest + incentives in December/Summer/holiday time. If you keep and eye out for both those in 3 years or so you should not be upside down unless you buy a depreciation bucket (a good way to gauge…
Sorry Freddy, I hadn’t seen the 10 time # mentioned. It depends on the repair to a degree and everyone’s definition of reasonable right? There have been times I took a car in about 10 times in a year, but part of that was I was picky- many were minor issues (rattle, loose button, slow telematics, etc). I think we may…
I’m a bit of a luddite myself, and one comes to mind— a locking diff. Technically it wouldn’t count here, but so many of even the mechanical ones have electronic aspects, but the performance benefits of that are simply mesmerizing.
I know this is somewhat tongue in cheek but a TC/stability/electronic diff system will usually use breaking of a wheel, etc. This is going beyond that in a rather interesting way.
You know that game kids play where you see how many kids you can fit in the car – kind of like a clown car?
