I could write about this— but a picture tells a thousand words, and so this short video tells basically a million:
I’ve always been a fan of Volvos, but at some pint in the past they had lost their way along the way (probably around or after the Ford era).
I had a few friends who knew of an open road with no other cars... so we did some super scientific tests. Cars were a tuned Nissan GTR, Roush Stage 3 Mustang, & a supercharged Ford Mustang GT to see how they held up against my 997.1 Porsche 911 Turbo with Cobb Stage 2 and Tubi Exhaust.
Words can’t even express how upsetting this is as a car guy and enthusiast.
Being a up and coming YouTube car reviewer, & burgeoning Automotive Journalist- I get to drive some pretty cool cars. Sometimes I even get to drive them on tracks ! One such car was the Alfa Romeo 4c which we all need to buy as only 400 were sold last year. That’s a real shame.
I don’t know how I did it but I somehow drove/reviewed nearly 50 cars last year.
Can’t lie- when I read the press car for the week was to be a 19k Mitsubishi, well I knew it wasn’t the Evo, and at first I was a little bummed.
One of the perks of being part of the Texas Auto Writers Association is that you get to chose the Car of Texas (and yes the more famous Truck of Texas in a separate event).
As anyone who has seen my articles before or my followers would know (all 6 of you, let’s change that guys), I try to get you guys cool car content in a way no one else can like a Minivan or a Piruses on a Formula 1 track (those articles coming soon, videos already up).
So every few years a string of cars comes along that really excites. The last one was the Audi S5 in 09, the Ferrari 458 with it’s aggressive design, the new C Coupe.
The stars have aligned, prayers have been answered, and I can move from the world of really cool fast great handling sports cars (i.e. Audi S5, ZHP 330 CI M sport, Porsche Boxster, Jag S Type R, 135) into a super car.
I got to drive a CTS V, but not any one, a highly modded one with nearly a 1000 HP.
So I hadn’t seen a whole lot of the big or professional folks doing in depth reviews on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Base / TI, so here is my review.
So I have a reservation in on a Tesla Model 3 but realize even tho I’m early it’ll be awhile. So I knew I could get a Leaf for under 10k, but wanted something newer (2014), smaller and more towable, etc. If you drove the Leaf vs either of these let me know in the comments.
Don’t know about you guys, but I’d only seen one Koenigsegg in my life and then when I’m at a high end Exotic car show, I see a brand new Koenigsegg CCXR, as well as several Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, @ Cars & Cannoli supercar show.
Hey guys so I got to check out the press day of the DFW (or Dallas Fort Worth auto show) The list of cars was insanely impressive including all the recent announcements thus far (Minus the McLaren 720 sadly).
So first let me address- what makes a go cart a go cart? Well it has to be nimble, has to pivot, and it has to be eager and almost rotate around its axis. Oh, and be relatively small of course. Anything I missed let me know in the comments.
So the M5 is a 500+ HP beast as is, and the C63S with 500HP was the most powerful sedan I had driven, and that was a little squirrley.
Having owned a couple of older Boxster years back, and driving a Cayman for awhile, I’ve developed a soft spot for Porsches. So when I got invited to this event- I just had to go (and of course film link at the bottom of article).
