My ex never pushed back, and it made me feel like a harpy. My soon-to-be-husband pushes back, and you're right; it IS delicious.

Wrong. "5 or fewer years" OR " 5 years or less (time)."

Seriously? And miss a chance to mock Russia? It our national sport.

I was tagging along on an archaeology project in a foreign country, and the director of the program introduced me to a group of other non-students/experienced archaeologists who were going. My guy was so polite. While waiting for the van to be loaded and for everyone to arrive, we were standing around talking about

It's really scary stuff. My grandma was a nurse in St. Louis in the mid-50s, and she staunchly supports the legality of abortions as a result. She saw way too many coat-hanger abortions when she was there. Her reasoning is that if people don't want to have babies, they'll find a way, and that way is usually as harmful

I *love* black and white photography, and I've always lamented that I look like complete crap in B/W. I am unsurprisingly a very pale white lady with light hair and eyebrows. Lame-o.

Hell yeah! My fingers are crossed for you, too!

I'm super jealous of everyone with any kind of plans...My guy is across the ocean, and we won't see each other until the following week. I wanted to send him a card (because international mail is the best and very exciting), but he doesn't really have a stable address right now. Lame. I don't expect to get anything

I mean, I can barely walk through the house without spilling my drink. C'MON!

I call shenanigans on that White Russian!

I have a confession to make...I decided not to get it when it came out for this exact reason, and now I'm too old. Le sad :(

Volcanoes. Also, wolves. I get nightmares about interpersonal stuff also, but I can't have a volcano or wolf dream without waking up in a cold fucking sweat.

I'm so, so sorry :( Visas are part of why we're getting married perhaps (definitely) more quickly than we normally would. We want to be together and work side by side, we can see a future together, but me getting a visa was seeming more and more difficult; we went through all the various visa options one night, and it

There's a lot of good advice on this thread, and I second it in general. I just left my boyfriend of 9 years/fiance of 6 months. Over the course of those 9 years we spent 5 school years and most summers long distance. Two of the years together we lived with each other, and two we lived next door.

Thank you for your use of the word "varmints."

Northern AZ 4-eva.

Oh man! Cool! Well, anywhere is going to require driving, so just accept that. Tucson is SUPER cool, and there's a lot of hiking to do down there, as well as a revitalized downtown, neat state museum at the University, and some really funky little neighborhoods. Also, there are like, dude ranches and stuff if you're

Omgggggg...Aquifer is the best stuff on the planet. My pediatrician told my mom to use it on our sun burns when we were like, in grade school still. I'm never without the stuff in the field (I'm an archaeologist, and sunburns are an occupational hazard) even though it's so greasy.

A lot of people get military ball dresses at DB, which seems not dissimilar to what you're looking for. I know that my last bridesmaid's dress was DEFINITELY a fucking prom dress.

Fuck that, it's just Phoenix. They're are a million cool places and people in Arizona, but they are not in the Valley. Ick. I'm always super bummed out when people go to AZ and don't get to see anything but Phoenix :(
