I've grown up in a family of geeks, so I really haven't had any of these issues. My uncle ran a research and development lab for Hewlett Packard before he passed away. My aunt's an artist, and knows a fair bit about tech. My grandparents don't use computers, so I never have to worry about them...

@openfly: All the parachutes I've ever used just have the leader chute that deploys the main chute... And the same for the emergency chutes. Never seen one with explosives.
