I would understand if you spent time restoring classics or building and boosting a new car yourself, but complaining that you didn’t get to ship it off to get everything installed first just seems...lame.

The rear end of this thing makes me think of a baby with a full diaper hanging off it’s butt. I can’t get the image out of my head no matter how many pictures of it I see. Yuck.

Oh, Snap!.. oversteer.

And yet that still wouldn’t be enough, since their mates might still try to play with the guns they stole from their parents and end up shooting my kid.

This is pretty much why my child will never be allowed to play in a house that has guns in it.

What happens if it can’t maintain the 5% charge because you’re requesting more power than the REX and the remaining battery can sustain? You act like that’s crazy talk but there are real i3 owners here who are telling you what happens and you just want to pretend it’s rare.

I use the REx about once a month and sorry, but you’re just plain incorrect that the car simply “goes into low power mode if you need to use it.”

lol your attitude compounded by apparent lack of personal experience is astounding. I’m trying to defend the i3 BECAUSE I OWN ONE, BRO. Do you? I’m not trying to “obscure the limits,” I use the REx about once a month and sorry, but you’re just plain incorrect that the car simply “goes into low power mode if you need

Stop saying it has 32hp.

I’ll try to explain because there’s a lot of confusion about the REx.

I’ve cruised at 70mph running on REx with the AC on, up a slight incline, with my family in the car. I’ve also never experienced noticeably reduced acceleration while running REx.

My buddy has one. He tells me when the REX is running, he’s limited to something like 34 hp. I really like the i3 but most of the design limits seem to be political. Like not being able to charge the battery from the REX and not being able to have a longer range on the REX than on the battery itself.

While I won’t comment about my views on Tesla stock, you should probably note a few things:

Car modding is a lot like plastic surgery, some people do a little and nothing more.

Alright for the price of a few Dinan parts, you could go get a 2JZ-GTE and V160/V161 and swap it into your IS300.

The Smoking Tire’s Zack Klapman takes us into his personal debate over whether to buy an E36 BMW or a Lexus IS300 as his next build base, and we discuss it at length right around the 72 minute mark.

I think they’re trying to hide how tall the hoods are these days. They put a bunch of busy work down low so, you don’t notice the whole slab-front that most new cars have.
