Sorry, a 1977 American car offering with a true Pontiac W72 400 and a TH400 was cool.

Everyone should have a problem with what China is doing. The level of outrage should be deafening.
Modern diesels have an NOx emissions issue. So, to a lesser extent, do modern direct injected gas engines (especially turbos). The US has laws about that sort of thing, as NOx has serious consequences for people’s health.
Nobody wants diesel anymore. Well not normal people.
I couldn’t disagree with you more.
I test drove the Tiguan to see if it would be worth the monthly savings (coming from a Q5) and the Tiguan felt like it was in dire need of an interior refresh.
A lot of people read Jalopnik. More than 8 million globally this month alone, in fact. They range from everyday car…
Yup. We have mandatory ice driving here in Norway, you’re not permitted to do the driving test until you’ve been through ice driving. Turning 18 in the summer (you have to be 18 for the test/licence, while driving school can start at 16) when there is no ice? Too bad, you should have been to the ice track the…
So... They build this medium duty truck into a limo, but neglect to install something that just about every fire truck around here has?
These people are so stupid! incompetent!! they made such a bad deal with the dealership, a terrible stupid deal, they got 2WD and summer tires, Trump is the master of the deal, he’d get 4WD and two sets of tires and make the dealership pay to swap them!!
I hear you. I had no problems with the maintenance part; it was when I started snapping off bolts trying to remove the diff (blown center seal) that I threw in the towel and started drinking.
That’s just old BMW ownership for you. My 97 M3 required constant maintenance. You’d fix one thing and the thing you fixed last year would fail again (I’m looking at you leaky PS). Some things you don’t bother fixing (Vanos needed rebuilding).
I quickly looked up cars that get 40+ mpg on gas, and I found subcompacts/compacts with engines less than 1.5L, and“fuel-efficiency” trim packages to boost economy. BMW, Audi, VW, and Mercedes (unsure on Merc) all provide 40+ mpg diesel cars that aren’t subcompacts with no “high efficiency” trim packages. I can get a…
I’d only argue with you if you said you hated carrots because they taste like pork chops and you hate pork chops (which is essentially how you were describing drag racing).
F-that, straight line performance is fun as hell. And fun is what sports cars are all about (at least to me, assuming I could afford one).
You didn’t watch the video did you? Did this race look like skills to you? Launch control, hold on and steer straight.
Saying something is “stupid” is not very constructive.
Stars times 1,000. I will never, ever buy a car based on 0-60 since it has no bearing for me at the track. Cold tires are the easiest way to kill your 0-60 times, and my stupid 252HP, FWD unmodified track car will take down S4s and S5s all day long at the track.
Drag racing IS pretty stupid. Only useful for street racing. Which one is better on track? A place where all aspects of the car are tested, not just drag racing.
I saw a BMW with its turn signal on once.
For me, this would be worth about 2x the average IS300, so maybe $13-15k.
