yea they really gotta stop making prequels. They need to continue the story. Voyager had some great moments but doesn’t compare to the prior 2, but it WAS a step in the right direction. Unlike.....Enterprise :(

They’re only doomed in the near future if they don’t adapt to the internet age.

I never said Nintendo is going to go out of business immediately or in the next year or few years. I said if Nintendo does not adapt to literally all other successful companies have adapted to - the internet - they will be in serious trouble and can die out. They will of course die out eventually, like all things, but

Why are they a better company? They don’t have better games, they have comparable ones that come less often, they have inferior technology but (currently) superior design, their online service is atrocious. And keep in mind I only own a Switch, I don’t have other consoles and I play it way more than my PC.

I think you may have a limited definition of what technology is. The entire concept of having a browsable library you have full access to versus individually shopping is a superior technology. It’s faster, easier to access, easier to manage, and doesn’t require arbitrary purchase, money management, and install time.

Because individually priced items that take up virtually no hard drive memory being doled out one by one at exorbitant prices is inherently inferior to full access to an entire library? No one would be asking for a VC if Nintendo just released the same library as part of the online subscription. People are just

The people asking for a Virtual Console are acting out of irrational anger. Many people are consistently frustrated with Nintendo’s online service but that doesn’t mean we should be moving backwards to an inferior technology. $20/year is cheap as hell for an online service, period. It’s a lot less than Xbox or

this was a lotta fun to listen to. The predictions are really entertaining (I don’t mean in a funny way, I mean the general definition of entertainment).

I pretty much ONLY caught battle pets in WoW one of the last times I renewed. I got World Safari and other achievs and literally only did that for like 6 months. It was....a lot of fun lol.

Brilliant article title. Any Zoolander reference makes me smile.

it’s amazing how malleable Smash is. They’re just playing an entirely different game from the one I play lol.

I hate to nitpick stuff about games because there’s sooo much entitled complaining online but if the Switch’s online service weren’t so consistently bad this really wouldn’t even bother me. But like...we can’t even get 3 NES games a month? sigh whatever. I still like the NES emulator a lot, it’s fun and I’ve played it

Honest question....didn’t Nintendo promise 3 NES games each month as part of its online package? Or did people just speak of it as 3/month because that’s all they announced? I could have sworn they said it would be 3 per month which would mean they falsely advertised the number...but I could definitely be wrong.

it’s all the portability :\ that is what is making Switch so successful. If it wasn’t portable there’s a decent chance Nintendo could have gone under this console cycle (in my opinion). Portability saved their asses after the disaster of the Wii U. That being said...if by NEXT generation they don’t fix their online I

that’s a hell of a response letter. Great article, actually made me feel good in the current hellscape of daily life in america.

I feel like Nintendo keeps getting way too many passes on the online stuff. Smash online is far more embarrassing than anything Fallout 76 did (well...except maybe leaking everyone’s personal info, that was bad). It stops friends from playing together, the way its organized is terrible, you can’t join friends games

uh last I heard harassing people online and threatening to doxx them for lying about a video game is still bad. You should get yr priorities in order.

- Return of the Obra Dinn with my partner (it’s fucking incredible)

Damn I really wanted to play DQB1 but this one looks soooo goooood and obviously has so many improvements. With Nintendo’s “none of our games are ever affordable I don’t care that ten years have passed” policy it’s hard to justify getting DQB1 for a whopping......$15 less (maybe, if I can find a sale) than a clearly

Thanks for rec’ing Dandara - that game is phenomenal. The music is incredible, the art and style of the game is gorgeous, the game itself is a ton of fun to play. Has some of the coolest and best boss fights I’ve ever seen. I didn’t find the gameplay hard to grasp, I just thought it was cool and unique, but I can
