i’m really curious about Mutant Year Zero because it’s a new addition to one my, traditionally, favorite genres.....but jesus christ are there a lot of good games out. It’s just fucking out of control this year. I got a Switch the start of this year and I’ve already got 40 fucking games that i bought on sale and I’ve

yeah that definitely makes sense and is a good point. It just felt odd, there were SO MANY trailers one after the other and then the end was just kinda empty. Tho i guess maybe they also wanted to give space to GOTY, which is cool I suppose. Either way, it WAS a good award show, as award shows go, and there was

lots of cool announcements, lots of great non-AAA games from small to large indie studios. I had a lotta fun watching it, there were some great speeches from Sonic Fox and the Celeste team, and I have to give recognition to the God of War guy for repeatedly trying to give a, albeit somewhat generic, positive push on

He absolutely stole the show - I thought the exact same thing. Sonic Fox was so genuine, spoke about things he truly cared about, and was unapologetic about who he is in a crowd of people that almost certainty included at least a few people who are racist, homophobic, etc. It was the best speech of the night for sure.

that’s what that was for? lol i musta missed some obvious cue, whoooooops! haha i had no idea what it was

this was pretty surprising to me....i assumed the series was dead. The first two games are pretty mediocre, but really fun to play if you’re into a massive marvel explosion of silliness. This one will probly be fun either way, but with some tweaking could be really great.

this is my interpretation, and maybe I’m wrong, but I just love how this was a fuck you to Steam from one of the most successful indie companies. Supergiant games are awesome, looking forward to playing it!

already looks amazing....sign me up!

sounds awesome! I wish world of light was better, i really loved the old adventure mode, but i’m sure i’ll still play it and get some enjoyment out of it. I’m glad the quality is so good overall. It’s gonna be a lotta fun!

“I can’t believe this game (and now its support) is such a mess that I’ve had to write three stories about a plastic bag.”

“That means that unlike our offline environment”

You just referred to real life as “our offline environment”

Everyone posting about how Steam will “never go away” has got to be young. You all clearly don’t understand that change is inevitable.

That’s not even remotely what I said and if you actually think it is I suggest you take some English classes on critical reading.

People like you clearly have zero concept of what free speech is. Freedom of speech DOES NOT MEAN you just get to comment on anything anywhere on the internet. Steam user reviews are completely unrelated to freedom of speech - they’re just a feature Steam happens, by chance, to use. If Steam hadn’t had it you wouldn’t

I want Steam to fail so hard. They are so representative of so much wrong with gaming culture. They’re a huge mega corporation, shitty to game devs, rampant with toxicity, trolls, neo-nazis, misogynists, and fuck knows what else and happily let all that happen on their software. I don’t care about Epic, but if they’re

Are the skeleton ships, megalodons, and kraken balanced for one ship yet? The biggest issue I had is all the cool quests that added over expansions required multiple SHIPS not even just multiple people to actually complete. Getting 12 people together to fight waves of skeleton ships with no way to communicate or

The US Army continues to be profoundly disgusting in how they operate. I loved the article, it was informative and interesting and pretty objective considering the content. I personally found the story utterly repulsive. Video games are fantasy. The army murders people. Period. End of story. There should be no

“You cannot be bought out as a privately owned company unless you want to be.”

The fact that you can write that and actually believe it shows me you have no concept of how the actual real world works. People have actual lives and emotions and relationships. The idea that economics is a totally balanced free market of

Because economics is more complex than a + b = c, despite what capitalist apologists would say. Giving breaks to large companies makes it easier for those companies to make games, which in turn gives them more profits, which in turns allows them to buy out smaller competitors, which in turn puts pressure on those

Those are all fair points. I still don’t see how that applies to buying games through humble bundle instead of steam. The humble monthly, IMO, has never been good - it’s always been hit or miss. The bundles at the start were great.....but that’s cuz they were the first people doing it and the games in bundles had
