I mean I wanna see timestamps on these cuz the assumption reading this article is he made these comments like.....a couple weeks ago lol. It’s like - oh you went from discussing the merits of nazism to completely understanding the history and roots of anti-semitism to become an anti-racist advocate in a couple weeks?

Your entire comment is just completely misleading.

“through the Switch Online, the NES/SNES classic editions”

“In another reality, one where companies like Nintendo and Sony actually cared about preserving their old games and ensuring that their entire libraries were playable now and forever, something like Genesis Classics might not be a rarity.”

THANK YOU! I was discussing this same thing with someone in comments on Kotaku a

I can actually totally believe that. It’s one of the many examples of the reality of capitalism versus what we’re told about how it’s supposed to work :) People get greedy and stupid when they have a lot of power and money.

right now i’m sitting in the dark trying not to go back to sleep cuz I was up all night playing the games I bought discounted for my Switch lol. Celeste DOES NOT DISAPPOINT goddamn that game is amazing and I only just started. I also mistakenly tried to do the chapter 2 b-side thinking “it can’t be thaaaaat hard”. I

Friendly reminder to support your local game store instead of Skyne---I mean Amazon. Local game stores are one of the few remaining independent nerd community places and it’s worth a couple extra bucks to keep them going.

Streets of Rage 2

that’s true - I always forget about Ark cuz it’s one of the only big survival games I haven’t played or watched but yea, it’s definitely the only thing Fallout compares to in terms of complexity. Not sure which is more complex or has more options tho since I haven’t played it.

totally! I played Avatar off and on for a few years way back in the day and it was a blast. I don’t have the brainpower for MUDs any more but they were/are definitely awesome. I’ve had that type of experience LARPing and playing tabletop RPGs too. When video games can capture that.....sign me up heh. That’s why I tend

I sat down last year and loaded my save where I had to go to the institute and was like “I am beating this game, no side quests, no exploring, I’m finishing the main quest line” and completed it that week. Nothing special about the plot, it was definitely enjoyable, but I’m glad I finished it.

It’s amazing how much nonsense people promise in marketing. Never believe marketing - NEVER. BELIEVE. MARKETING. It’s their job to lie to you. That’s why I already read the great reviews at Kotaku :)

The intricacies of how idiotic corporations can be are so interesting. Really interesting article. We live in this unbearable culture of profit margins and BS and it’s just so pathetic. Like - how stupid and greedy do you have to be to take one of the most successful gaming teams in the world and say “you’re not doing

on the one hand...i really want to play this. On the other....I’ve been playing civilization games for 25 years. I sunk a good amount of time into 5 and by the time 6 rolled around, I got it, enjoyed it, played a bit and just stopped. I think I’m just over it - it’s still essentially the same game, I’m sure newcomers

haha well at least you get to tell an awesome story :)

It’s just so much the norm. I mean, I played a shit ton of WoW and I can admit a lot of it truly was just a waste of time - BUT, the thing is I played with friends and we hung out and talked, some of my closest friends all played with me when I was logging 12 hour WoW days. So in a way it’s socializing and you do get

haha true and same here. I mean, I’m sure he has won other awards for his work (I would guess) it’s just gonna be weird when another 20-30 years has passed and he’s made more games and people are like “well....we can’t just give him the same lifetime award again....”

reminds me of trying to close a Flickr account I had oh....15 years ago? it was made with an email account that now literally no longer exists as the account site was absorbed into a larger company. I tried to contact them and the company was unable to provide any answers. The convo was something like

this isn’t meant to be snarky internet drama at all but isn’t he young to get a lifetime achievement award? he’s been making games for what? 10-15 years? and he’s pretty young isn’t he, like 40s? He makes great games and deserves recognition for that, it just seems weird.

I dunno that Bleszinski person at all but I’m glad he told off that “fan”. So tired of entitled gamers whining all the time when there are actual real issues in the world of gaming (and beyond). I wish more devs would tell those people off and more companies would support it. You bought a game, played it for a year,

I’m not being hostile, I’m just being truthful. Most things are a mixture of wants and needs - saying food is a need isn’t realistic when we live in a world with a plethora of food. You’re thinking way too binary and that’s the problem. If you assume the price is what I “agree” to pay then there’s no room for changing
